TODAY IS A SAD DAY :(

I'm just not having the greatest day today. My acne won't cover with makeup and I haven't gotten a tan in over a month so I'm literally albino. It's just one of those days that you just don't want to be seen but you don't have a choice. I have 2 classes today and I really don't want to go to them ughhh WHEN DOES IT END wtf I hate acne...if it were a person I wish it would jump off a bridge.... Also, T-1 1/2 months until I'm on the runway...f u c k.
  2. So, I've tried so effing many facewashes throughout my teen and young adult life that there should be some kind of law against it (and being pre-law I'm learning that there have been worse laws, yeah you heard me Alabama "You may not have an ice cream cone in your back pocket at any time." who thinks of these things?! Don't answer that.) Anyways, I think I've finally settled on a facewash that I should have stuck to in the first place! Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar, Antibacterial It's good
  3. Hey Everyone! So I decided to start an Accutane journal for a 3 reasons: 1. I'd like imput from others who have been on Accutane 2. I'd like to give other people insight as to what it's like to be on Accutane 3. I wanted to document my daily/weekly/monthy improvements/side effects. I've had acne since I was 13 years old. At first it wasn't so bad, a few zits here and there and I would use OTC products which cleared it up usually. I didn't start getting really bad acne (READ: SEVERE) break
  4. Yup. There's no chemical difference, but I saw a slight difference in side effects (probably due to binding agents the different companies use). I hated Clavaris because of the side effects and now I'm on Amnesteem and love it
  5. I would say make sure your multivitamin doesn't have vitamin A in it and if it does then make sure it is a very small dose. This is because Accutane is a type of vitamin A as well and too much vitamin A in the body causes serious problems. Honestly, I would say stop taking the multivitamin all together just to be on the safe side for now. flaxseed, garlic, probiotics and biotin shouldn't cause problems but I'm not a doctor and you should ask your derm for clarification. I've heard good things ab

Accutane cost (United States) w/o insurance?

I'm having insurance issues right now too but a different situation. I'm going to be taking Amnesteem from a Target pharmacy and it's going to cost about $600 for 3 packs of 20mg tablets. Normally I would only pay a co-pay of about $30 with my insurance.
  7. "I'm 5'11" 190 pounds and I'm on 60 mg claravis" Most likely your derm is going to up your dosage as your accutane journey continues. I've read that a lot of people get started on a lower dosage because their derm wants to see how they tolerate accutane first. I'm 5'9 and 130 and according to accutane weight guidelines (dosage prescription is reliant on your weight) I should be taking 60mg (which I am). Like the poster above me, everyone is different but dry lips is the most common side effect

    Claravis vs. Amnesteem

I'm doing something similar. I started accutane on Clavaris and this is only my first month. I start the second month tomorrow and am switching to Amnesteem. My dermo told me to make the switch because she has seen less side effects on Amnesteem compared to Claravis and Sotret but my usual pharmacy didn't carry Amnesteem. Anyways, I was getting a lot of side effects from Claravis. According to my dermo, there are no differences between the two, just a different name. She said she thinks it was t
