  1. Yo, check your inbox, important info about accutane.

  2. Yes, I would recommend V beam (only 6 months post accutane - very important to wait!!) with a qualified technician over IPL. IPL is more risky for post accutane skin in my opinion, and is less effective on vascular issues.
  3. Hey everyone, About a year and a half ago I finished a 6 month course of low dose accutane (10mg/day at first, 20mg/day later on) which left me with severe, debilitating flushing. I had cyclic flushing which would occur every single night from around 7 pm to 12 am for around a year post accutane. It would also occur out of this time period if evoked (warm rooms, anxiety, etc.). It was extremely debilitating and affected every waking moment of my life during that year. Luckily I study bi
  4. Pleasehelp123, celexa (citalopram) is not similar to mirtazapine. Celexa is an SSRI antidepressant, and presumably all AD's from this class would have a similar benefit for flushing (prozac, paxil, etc). I've been on mirtazapine, and although it did help flushing, it was the most exhausting and personality altering medication I've ever been on. Celexa helps flushing better, and at the low dose I'm on have no effect on me mentally. No side effects either, the only effect I notice is reduced flu
  5. I'm sorry but anything that can bleach your clothes can not be a good substance to have on your face 24/7. It's common sense.
  6. Not that bad....I would really look into keratosis pilaris...looks like that on the arms more than acne
  7. I've been drinking over a gallon of water a day for years...if I stop it makes no difference
  8. It all causes the same glucose spikes in the blood, white sugar just has more sugar per gram
  9. Yes, but used off label as an anti hot flash/flushing medication in low doses
  10. I used the cleanser as a shaving cream and shaving while washing my face. Only shave with the hairs and apply topicals after shaving.
  11. IT doesn't have the same cellular affect as vitamin A.
  12. Washing your face more than twice a day will make your oily skin worse (sorry Bryan). I take advantage of the brown paper towels in the colleges bathrooms.
  13. Most people with oily skin (me included) can't use moisturizer without looking oily after an hour or two. When I do get dry and need a moisturizer, I used a light one and pat my face with a paper towel after application.
