    Skin Redness

i have heard amazing things about trentinoin cream used for acne scarring. I just started using it myself and so far, so good. Try Korres Pomegranate Mattifying Primer. It kept me completely shine free for a full work day. Unfortunately, it broke me out after using it for a few months (I think). The friend who recommended it to me has sensitive acne prone skin and has not had any problems with it. Good luck!
  2. I new regimen is going well! I completely over did it with the trentinoin cream on the first use and have unfortunately suffered immensely because of it. I have really put my skin through the ringer in the past with some pretty harsh products, so I was positive that my skin could handle a good amount of trentinoin cream, but I was soooo sooo wrong. My skin was sooo irritated the day after first use that I had to completely stop using it for three days so that it could heal. It has now healed and
  3. Yes, I definitely saw improvements, but not enough of an overall improvement. I will definitely keep using the regimen (although I will be switching to store brand products to save $), but I need more... namely antibotics... which I hate.
  4. This album will follow my journey while using Cephalexin, Trentinoin, Spiro and DKR to hopefully rid myself of acne once and for all!
  5. So, I have been using DKR for exactly 7 months today. Although it has cured my cystic acne and lessened the size and duration of normal breakouts, it has not stopped normal breakouts from coming, which is very disappointing as I really thought DKR was going to be "it" for me. Over the last few months, I have been doing a lot of research trying to come up with an answer as to why I started to experience adult onset acne when I was 24. Up until that point, I truly had crystal clear skin... not eve
  6. I've been using DKR for 7 months today and unfortunately must post that it has not cleared my acne. I was recently diagnosed with PCOS, so this makes sense. I will be starting a new blog today that will detail my new regimen and hopeful progress.

    Day 52 - People Suck!

Thanks! I really appreciate the kind words. It was a rough day to say the least. I have yet to go makeup free again. Hopefully, my skin will clear and I can stop wearing foundation forever. That's the plan at least.
  8. I had flawless skin until I was 25. I still remember being the envy of my girlfriends in high school who were battling acne back then. I had my first memorable breakout right after I had my first daughter and I'm still battling it at 30. You just never know. Hormones have a lot to do with it. For me it wasn't necessarily the pregnancy hormones, but going back to "normal" hormones after pregnancy that set my skin off. My skin cleared up again when I was pregnant with my second daughter and the ac
  9. Girl, I think I may have already posted this to you in another comment awhile back, but get an e-cig. Not one of the cheap $50 crappy ones. Make an investment and get a Provari. Best thing I ever did. Have been quit for over a year and am slowly decreasing my nicotine level, should be completely nicotine free by the end of the year and it has been SOOOO easy. It made a HUGE difference in my skin when I stopped smoking and started vaping. I tried going cold turkey, tried the patches and the gum a
  10. I didn't see any results with spiro until I hit the 100mg mark. My skin got better, but spiro alone was not enough to keep acne at bay for me. Highly suggest getting your dose increased. It did wonders for a girlfriend of mine. Good luck!
  11. I am back to wearing makeup. I went makeup free for about a week, until I overheard two of my male co-workers talking about me and my skin. Here's the story... I ran into one of my co-workers on a Saturday night out with my husband. He didn't seem to recognize me at first because I was all dolled up (full face of makeup) for a concert my husband and I were going to. The next Monday I came into work and overheard him and another male co-worker talking about the Saturday night run in and it was ho
  12. I recommended vegetable glycerin. I am on day 42 of DKR and have yet to experience ANY dryness. I mix mine 50/50 with water in a spray bottle and spray my face and neck at night, after I have completed my DKR routine. I know a lot of DKR users say not to stray from DKR, even slightly, but... I disagree, at least when it comes to adding VG.
  13. I can see a pretty big difference girlie! Congrats! Are you using AHA? If not, I would totally recommend it.

    Getting Better?

I used Bare Minerals when it first came out for about 6 months and loved it. I can't remember why I stopped using it. Looking back now, I think during that time period my skin looked pretty awesome. Hmmm... something to think about for sure. Thanks girlie!
