  1. Hi... I wanted to know if the dryness and flaking problem disappears after your skin gets adjusted to BP after using it a for few weeks? Or does the dryness stay as long as you continue using BP?
  2. Please excuse me for asking this stupid question. What is AHA used for? Do you get to buy it as a separate product or is it just an added ingredient in moisturisers? Can you please suggest some over the counter AHA products which I can use. I have a problem with cystic acne and hyperpigmentation.
  3. Hey.. your skin looks quite good to me. Or are the photos not very clear? Mine looks much worse than this on a good day
  4. I get painful cystic acne once in a while. They hardly ever come to a head and I never pick them. But they take a long time to heal... 2 weeks atleast. Even though I dont pick they leave a mark on my skin, specially the cheeks. No deep scar, just a dark skin discoloration. Eventually these marks fade in around 2-3 months. So what I have learnt from my experice is that cysts generally dont cause a deep scar as long as they are not picked. They just cause hyperpigmentation which fades with time.
  5. Its bad when u search for the darkest corner to sit in a resturant.. Or you are happiest when u are in a movie theatre coz thats where no one can see the horrible breakouts...
  6. 20+ days of avoiding dairy and my face is relatively clear!! Thanks for helping me pinpoint the culprit. For years I have been living on milk ( milk , yogurt, butter, cheese, tea, coffee!!) and been battling with acne. Uncountable visits to different Derms and not even one could make the connection to dairy. Stupid ass#@$%^&!! They just asked me to stay off oily food, chocolates, pizzas and junk food. And ignorant as I was, I never thought something like milk, which I always thought was a w
  7. Thanks for the info. I bought Neutogena dry-touch SPF50 sunscreen. Will start using from tomorrow and will update if it causes any breakouts.
  8. Hi, I live outside USA and I cannot find the sunscreens you have listed. Does anybody recommend me using Neutrogena suncreens? They are listed as 'Non comedogenic" but I still am scared as my skin breaks out easily. Have anybody used sunscreens from Neutrogena?? Does it cause breakouts?
  9. Dab honey on the cysts overnight. Trust me... cysts will come to a head and dry up if u continue using honey.
  10. Thanks for the diet info Panic!! I hope I can be just as disciplined as you are. What do u use for the colon cleanse? I use psyllium husk fibe supplement (powder form) before going to bed. I am not sure how long I can safely continue to use it?? Can anybody please recommend me a good sunscreen which is least likely to cause breakouts. Is Neutrogena good?
  11. Pimples on the forehead and on the hairline are usually related to dandruff and dirty hair. I say you should try washing your hair frequently with a dandruff shampoo like Head and Shoulders. Massage onto the scalp and let the shampoo stay for 2-3 minutes. Then wash off. Also change your pillow case everyday. Keep your hair off your face.
  12. I am just the opposite.. After suffering from moderate to severe acne from the last 12 years I have now somewhat accepted it as a part of my life. I have learnt not to let acne dominate my life. I go out and enjoy my life and also work just as hard. I dont care if people think I have spots on my face... I know I am beautiful otherwise and am a good person from inside If they judge you by your skin then you dont need such people in your life at all. But from my experience I can tell you that m
  13. Ya the check is coming your way Panic.. keep checking your mailbox!!! I suffered a little setback when I woke up yesterday with a painful cyst near the mouth. But thankfully the size is much smaller than it used to be before. Also after dabbing honey overnight it has developed a head today and I am hoping it will clear out in a few days. Panic: Can you tell me briefly about your diet? I am trying to chalk out a diet plan for myself and need some help.
  14. If your off dairy that means no dairy at all. If yogurt doesn't break you out then I guess its okay, but I would abstain from all dairy, including cheese. That's great to hear that you haven't broken out for 3 days, that's why I hate derms they are stupid and never tell you anything about diet because they want to keep prescribing you medicine that irritates your skin more. Next eliminate the wheat/gluten products and see if your skin improves even more. Congrats your headed in th
  15. I am off dairy from the last 3 days and have had no new breakouts since. I feel I cannot tolerate milk much as I used to feel a little bloated after having milk/tea/coffee. But yogurt seems to have no such effect. Anyways, I am now strictly off milk/milk products and will keep posting my progress.
  16. Apply a dab of honey on the cyst overnight. I will come to a head soon and dry out. Takes just about two days. Works like a charm on me!!
  17. Ok.. I agree I am not eating right. I have stopped having dairy products after reading your post and lets see if it helps. But tell me if I should avoide butter as well? The one thing that will be difficult to avoide is rice as it is the staple food at our end of the world! I have been having it every day since I was 3 For the time being I am avoiding dairy and hoping to see if I clear up. I will be glad if you can help me with this... Panic!! By the way, one question if u dont mind..
  18. My diet: Morning: Brown bread with butter or a cheese spread, eggs, sometimes a cup of milk Lunch: Rice, vegetables, pulses, salad(cucumber, carrot, tomatoes) , yogurt(not everyday) Evening Snack: Junk food ...someting spicy like chips or fried pancakes and a glass of juice (orange, sweet lime) or some fruit Dinner: Rice, vegetables, pulses I have stopped having tea/coffee. Also my sugar intake is very minimal. Salt in my diet is high which I am trying to cut down. I wash my face
  19. Actually I already commented on why I believe your breaking out in cystic acne; your lifestyle. Which includes: a) your diet b) your sleep pattern c) your exercise routine Most people who suffer from cystic acne past puberty have food intolerances or a sudden hormone imbalance (mainly females) due to a variety of factors, stress being at the top of the list. Are you under consistent stress? What is your diet like? Do you have other symptoms other than acne? Such as m

Good moisturiser for hands and feet Very oily. It is clogs pores I broke out withing 2 days of using coconut oil on my face. Although it is a good moisturiser and it is supposed to be helpful in fading acne scars... BUT coconut oil is highly comedogenic.. it clogs pores. I think it is best to avoide using it on the face for people who have acne problems. Use it on your body instead for soft silky skin.
  21. I had no new breakouts for two weeks but today morning I woke up with two new very painful cysts again ;( I never mess with the cysts but they keep on coming in and around the same spots again and again. I mean all new cysts keep on coming on the same area on my right cheek and near the hairline on my left cheek. Other areas are relatively clear. Can anyone tell me why I keep getting them in clusters near the old cysts again and again ;( Even before the old ones get to heal completely new on
  22. I really want to share this with you all... I was going through the available acne forums on the internet and found that a lot of people have found the honey/cinnamon face mask very helpful. i decided to give it a try as i was really fed up with BP. My whole face had dried up and was itching like crazy. I then gave my face a break from BP and used the honey mask instead. To my surprise, within two days of using the honey mask the 4 stubborn cysts on my cheeks came to a head. I waited patiently t
  23. I got my face all dried up after using BP. So, out of frustration I totally stopped using BP and from the last 1 week I am using a cinnamon/honey mask at night. I didnt really believe at first that this was going to work but surprisingly it did reduce the inflamations on my face. My acne seems a lot smaller and the cysts that I had from around a month on my cheeks finally came to a head. I guess there is something in the honey which brought the stubborn cysts on my face to a head. I am hoping no
  24. It is really painful . I have been to many dermatologists and tried loads of antibiotics. Recently I took a course of Avindo 500 (antibiotic). But still my cysts have not cleared. Last year I used a Tea Tree oil face wash by The Body Shop. It worked really well for me at first and my skin was very clear for about 2 months. But then my acne seemed to develop resistance to it. Now Tea Tree Oil does not work at all in clearing my acne. I hate to see my face in the mirror now Even BP is having
