  2. dermablend cover creme is a lifesaver.. dermablend.com
  3. im on six months now of accutane (im on a 9 month course) of 80mg/day and my face is getting pretty clear, but now im stuck with a face full of scars and red marks. microdermabrasion and chemical peels, as you know, arent an option for at least a year so my dermatologist recommended me this AMAZING makeup. its kiiinda pricey, but after applying it for the first time i started crying because of how beautiful my skin looked.. DERMABLEND i use the cover creme and finishing loose powder.. and its
  4. I currently have two full sleeves, most of my legs and stomach are also covered.. while on accutane it is definitely not a good idea to get tattooed.. my buddy recently started to outline a piece on my ribs and it look about two months to heal.. and it healed horribly. accutane is changing the effects of your face, and also the rest of your skin. its better off to wait til your treatment is over! <3
  5. thank you so much for replying! im just afraid im one of those cursed people that accutane doesnt work for! i have literally about 30 actives on my face and neck as we speak, its really frustrating after taking such a harsh medication that its not improving my skin, only making it worse. i almost regret starting accutane, my skin was never this bad before.. so im with you on the depression aspect. keep your head up, at least you know theres someone else out there that feels the same way you do!!
  6. I know that your supposed to go through the whole initial breakout, but i'm on month three and my skin is progressively worse and worse everyday. i had my derm appointment today and both of the doctors were puzzled as to why im not reacting to the accutane like i should be. my skin now is waaay worse then when i started this treatment! i'm 140lbs and on 60mg twice a day. instead of monthly appointments, im now going weekly. =/ any similar experiences? is it just gonna take way longer for me to
  7. I have been on a vegetarian diet for about five years now, and have been taking amnesteem (isotretinoin) for almost three months, at 40mg. i recently just changed my diet from vegetarian to vegan (no animal products whatsoever, i.e milk, eggs, cheese, honey etc..) in the past month and my skin is still terrible.. i know it takes a few months for accutane to do it's thing, but does my vegan diet have an effect on anything? thanks! <3acacia
  8. today marks week one on claravis 20mg. my face has definitely broken out way more then i expected; i knew about the "initial breakout" but i didn't think it would be this bad. side effects - lips, they are dry, but it's not too intense (yet hah!) constant headaches daily, which is suuuuper fun.. not. lower back pain, but i also just started working eight to nine hour days standing so that's probably contributing to my aches. my contacts are a little dryer then normal. i don't know if it's the t
  9. thank you! i don't even want to know how much i've spent on foundation in the past few years, i cant even go start my car without makeup on, its ridiculous. and that makes me pretty happy about hair too! i never thought of that. any tips or tricks you've learned thoughout your cycle? (your profile picture - you skin looks beautiful!)
  10. i'm a 21 year old female, and i've been struggling for almost 10 years with my acne. like most of you, i've tried virtually every over the counter and prescription topical medication, and im suuuper frustrated with seeing no results. after years of spending thousands of dollars on not only medication, but also makeup, ive decided to take the accutane road.. i've been reading accutane diaries for months before starting the meds, and hopefully this will help other people, the way others have helpe
