    Starting this crazy regimen.

Today is 12 weeks for me on the DKR, which means I've completed three months. While my skin is clearer, it's nowhere near completely clear. I'm still having small breakouts and my blackheads are still there. But because I've seen improvement, I'm going to continue. I've had to go back to one pump of BP because of the flakiness. So I guess what I want to say is be very patient--it may take longer for the DKR to work its magic. I know that you want to see amazing results now, but even some g

    Foundation to Tinted Moisturizer

I have no idea how it will work with concealer, but Physician's Formula Organics tinted moisturizer works really well and covers well. I've had good success with it and it doesn't aggravate my skin. I'm light, so I used the Fair to Light shade and then dusted Mary Kay's Mineral Powder over it in Ivory 1 and it looked good. You can get PF tinted moisturizer in drugstores.
  3. I've been MIA for two weeks, but I'm still keeping up with Regimen, though I'm experiencing so much dryness and flakes. It's been over the past week or so, after I bumped up my BP to two pumps again. I guess I just have to stick to one and a half. I've also experienced a few more breakouts, which is frustrating. But I'm still holding on--I mean, heck, I'm almost into my 3rd month! Hope everyone else is doing well.
  4. Cute pic! Your skin is looking great! And your area of Texas got snow. All we got was freezing rain and ice.
  5. Yay! You're looking great, girl, so keep it up!

    prepeat goes nuclear (regimen log)

I do agree that keeping a log is a great way to stay accountable; I know how you feel about acne affecting your job. I've always felt embarrassed to stand in front of my students who have better skin than I do. I'll keep an eye on this post--don't get discouraged! The redness will go away, but it may take time.
  7. Thanks for visiting, accushame! I did reply to your post, but I did think of something that may be a difference. I have very oily skin. Before I started the DKR, my skin would be super oily through out the day, my make up would wear off long before my work day ended, and I was very uncomfortable. Now that I'm on the regimen, my skin is finally comfortable and my make up stays without my skin feeling oily at all! It may be that the 2 pumps is too much for you right now. My suggestion is ram
  8. I started out using the 8 oz tube, because I didn't want to invest a bunch of money into something that wasn't going to work for me, and I used a pretty thick fingerlength. My skin started getting super flaky and dry, so I cut back to a very thin fingerlength for awhile, made sure to use 2-3 pumps of moisturizer (it takes longer to absorb, but it's worth it) and when I used foundation, I used a tinted moisturizer. All of that really seemed to help. I've since upgraded to the 16 oz bottles,

    Chrizzy's Road to Clear Skin

Started the DKR on December 1st, 2010
  10. Oki, so, I'm well into Week 9, which means I've been on the DKR for just about two months. I did some collages of my first photos and my most recent. Albeit, the photos are taken from different distances, but I do see some progress. It still looks like one side of my face is getting the heavy red mark treatment. Hopefully it will fade.

Your skin may be purging, which is normal. You're going to find that your skin will probably be flaky as it adjusts. I still get flakes at times, but a bit of extra moisturizing should do the trick, or even switching to a tinted moisturizer (I think that was my life saver in some instances). Just make sure it's noncomedogenic!

MAKEUP FUN! Different looks, tips, & tricks!

LOL. Warpaint. Love it. Can I ask what you have on your lips? It looks lovely! Thanks! On my lips, I used L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipliner in Au Naturale (it's kind of a pinkish nude) and L'Oreal Colour Riche Anti-Aging Serum Lipstick in Blushing Bouquet (almost a mauve color). The only bad thing is that it has a weird smell, but I only notice it when I first put it on.

Are you completely against using a liquid? The reason I ask is that a tinted moisturizer may work for you; when I was experiencing really bad flakes, I used Physician's Formula Organics tinted moisturizer and it actually helped, and for such a product, it covers quite well.
  14. Ugggh...today was an ugly day. Took pics this morning after doing my DKR, and I just thought my skin looked horrid in the pics. But, I'm still going to post them as progress; I don't know if my skin's doing another purge or if it's reacting to the AHA or what. But, I've had a good make up day, so I'll post my pic of that as well, so I at least have one decent pic in the bunch.

What a great thread! And your make up looks are fabulous bek--your techniques are awesome. This is one of my "polished" looks--I do it for work and church but tend to change up the color combos. For this one, I used the following: Mary Kay Medium Coverage Foundation in Ivory 202 Mary Kay Mineral Powder in Ivory 1 Covergirl Exact Eyelights for Hazel Eyes shadow(a shimmery cream shade on the brow bone, the lighter brown, almost cafe au lait shade on the lid, the deeper brown color in the creas
