  1. Well if it's flaky it might be Seb Derm. Some people recommend head and shoulders shampoo on the affected area. I'm battling with rosacea atm though so can't really give you much advice. Just research on seb Derm.
  2. In my opinion, it's only red around where the spots are. I'd use a gentle cleaner and a very light moisturiser.
  3. Right, I was diagnosed with Rosacea last year even though I've had my symptoms for a good 3 years. Basically I had quite bad Acne for about 6-7 years and it cleared up. After about a year of amazing clear skin I developed horrible skin texture under my eyes and around my cheeks. The pores had enlarged quite drastically and my cheeks appeard saggy, I also aquired quite bad dark circles which will NOT go away. After about another year the skin on my cheeks and nose turned more and more red and thi
  4. Ok... A few months back I was Officially diagnosed with Rosacea, not that I'm surprised. After the crap Dermotoligist handed me some info which I've known for the past 2 years he sent me on my way. So now I'm back to square one. My Rosacea doesn't generally flare up at all, it's just always red. The texture is quite bad and I always have dark circles around the eyes.. Can anyone give me some advice? Heres some pics. http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/4058/photo1bbj.jpg http://img705.
  5. Hey nick. I'm happy in a weird way because your skin is "exactly" the same as mine. The rednesss next to the nose all the way up to the temples and the same kind of texture to it. Mines been like it for well over a year now and I still haven't found a cure so I can't help. Will be going to docotors again though so will hit you up with any progress.,
  6. I've had a quite bad redness on my nose and cheek area for over a year now. It gets worse when I'm in the sun or exercising, it's also constantly inflamed and has an orange peel effect to it which makes it quite a horrible thing. I just went to the doctors today and he thinks it's SD so prescribed me Hydrocortisone Cream 0.5%, so... this is the first night I've used it so I'll keep you all updated with the results.
  7. Hello all. This is just a last resort I guess before I start taking this "situation" into overdrive and seek medical help, so.. Here I go. Last year I had that normal skin which wasn't perfect but wasn't bad either. I got a few spots every week but I could easily cope. I had confidence and motivation but that was all taken away from me by this thing thats happened on my face. The only way I can describe it is that it's like a thickening of the skin on my cheek area and it's pulled down which has
  8. Alright... Since I've had spots I've used various amounts of Cleansers, exfoliaters and moisturizers on my face. Over the past year my face has started to look more unhealthy as each day goes by and I honestly look like I'm constantly ill, untill!.......Ta Da!...... I stopped using any products. For the past 2 months I've been using Only warm water on my face and it's had drastic results. My breakouts are about 80% faded and the red marks and uneven tone are quite rapidly vanishing. I do believe
  9. That's what I don't understand. I thought it looked like rosacea just because it was around the nose and cheeks but it just suddenly appeared. I don't see how "simple facewash" would aggregate my face as it's only that part which looks irritated.
  10. Hello all, I'm not new to this forum but I've just been generally trying to find my own way in combating whatever is happening to my face. It all started around a year ago when I got Hives and ever since then it's gradually got worse. I've never had good skin, since the age of about 13-14 I had quite moderate Acne but it basically vanished when I hit the age of 18. Now, I'm left with some sort of mess on my face which has no correspondance to where my Acne originally was. It's gradually got wors
  11. Well... You've just answered your own question mate. You don't moisturise after you shave.. Even if your skin doesn't feel tight after you shave you should always moisturise to replenish the oils you've stripped. I used to have Mild Acne and after I found a good moisturiser my Acne has basically cleared up.
  12. Lol! I thought I was the only one. Usually if I drink on the weekend my skin always looks better. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the beer or the fact that I dont't usually care what other people think when I'm drunk so the stress side of things isn't there. Anyway, maybe alcohol is the new acne fighter?
  13. Ok... Where do I start. Since about the age of 13 I had Mild Acne... It changed places starting from chin and finishing up on my neck area. After about 5 years It had seemed to have vanished and my skin was near enough spot and pimple free for over a year which was obviously a good thing but... now, my face seems to have taken a turn for the worse. or the past 8 months or s I've been living with what I can only describe as face sagging. My left eye seems to have what you would call "bags" undern
  14. I have near enough the same thing as you mate. Mines more in the nose area and cheek but basically the same. I haven't got a clue what it is either but hope to find out.
