  1. Hi! All medications and drug companies are required to label the extremely severe risks. I think you should give it a try. Experiencing those side effects is rare. I would not worry about it. I believe you can use them as long as you prefer, unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Good luck. Im here if you need anything!!
  2. I am taking microgestrin 1.5/30 I hope all is well for you. =)
  3. 2 weeks ago I changed bcp. I was on Loestrin 24 fe, which helped, but not enough to satisfy my expectations. So my obgyn switched me to microgestin, the generic form of regular Loestrin (not loestrin 24 fe) it has helped dramatically. Im guessing since microgestin has more estrogen in it. I recommend that if you've been on a specific birth control for over 3 months and it hasnt helped your acne try one with more hormones. Any thoughts feel free to express your opinion.
  4. Ok so right now I have 4 medium size active pimples and a tiny bit of red dot scars from previous pimples on my right cheek. Ive seen HUGE improvement and its only been 6 weeks. Purpose gentle face wash I have never had bacne or chest/shoulder acne. I consider myself blessed. I will keep posting every 2 wks or so

gentle, not drying, smells clean, inexpensive, works GREAT!!! As many said...the bottle sucks, water gets in it, when I travel it leaks....SOLUTION: by a bottle to put the cleanser in. =) I love PURPOSE my whole family uses it. It is great for my sensitive skin, when I was using it with other products it still worked great....but I only now use it by itself. Give it a try, see if you like it. Most people do =)
  6. You should only stop taking it if it really makes you feel sick. You shouldnt stop because your acne is getting worse, because it takes time to work. As far as the weight gain, Im sorry you have gained weight, I have with some medications Im taking. Ive gained 70 pounds in 1 year from some psychiatric meds HOWEVER!!! The result is worth the weight gain, I feel so much better now, I see the world through different eyes. Give spiro some more time. But if it is causing severe sickness, you should
  7. I never ever had acne until last summer. My face was always super clear. Now though I have a lot of inflammatory acne. Its hard to look in the mirror because I no longer see the girl Im used to seeing. Im currently on Loestrin 24 fe, and its hard to tell if its working. Sometimes I think it is, then days like today I am doubtful. Ive tried Differin, Benzaclin, Doxycycline, and yaz before none of them helped. So I need your advice. Should I talk to my derm. about accutane??
  8. Okay so I've been on Loestrin 24 fe for 1 month. By the end of the 1st month (which was about 1 wk ago) my face had really cleared up...but then came the placebo pills. I really didnt want to take them, but my mom told me to. so anyway my face broke out a little. but on Sunday I started to take the actual pill again and my face's complexion is way better. Do you think the placebo pills caused the breakout?? and do you think I should skip them? Also, I have a weird situation I have a pituitary
  9. I was just saying how apples are really good for you and stuff like that...Like how there better then little debbies and stuff. but dont worry about it.
  10. actually i edited my own post. and im a girl. so i dont know who you were referring to but whatever. Look I realized my post had its flaws so I just decided to get rid of it.
  11. just forget it. Its not worth a debate what works for me might not work for you. I was just sharing my opinion. And I hoped it would help someone. We are all here for the same reason. To combat acne. I dont want any problems.
  12. just forget this topic is not worth it.
  13. I disagree with you. Pharmaceutical companies want you to get better. For example psychiatric medications have saved peoples lives. I am living proof. Birth control has helped so many women with painful periods. Etc. Natural is great for people who are not in desperate need to dependable medications...but for those that do..pharmaceutical companies save lives.
  14. Loestrin 24 fe is the greatest thing ive ever decided to take. It has helped my periods, my face, and it has not caused any weight gain. My face is clearing up soooooo much. Give loestrin time usually you wont see improvements until around the 2nd or 3rd month. I am soooo happy with loestrin!
  15. Hi there. I never ever had acne until July of '09. But when it came, it came BAD. It took 4 months for me to find something that works...and i had some bad circumstances, I have a pituitary tumor which screwed up my hormones, and im on a bunch of medications for anxiety and ADD. Anyway despite my circumstances, I am still getting clear skin....HOW..?? A.M *Wash face with purpose face wash (theres no soap no acne medication) just a water based soap *Wash face with Clinique acne wash (you could u
