  1. Going to a regular derm is out of the question now Last one I went to told me there is NOTHING I can do about my fluahing aside from trying to prevent it Said there are no treatments of any kind I was shocked He said I didn't have any permanent redness yet, and until then there was nothing to be done I want a doctor who specializes in facial flushing/rosacea prevention Can anyone lead me in the right direction?
  2. Have we talked at all about SIBO being a contributing factor to our flushing problems? I keep reading about how our poor gut health is the reason why we keep flushing. This thread goes into a lot of detail: http://www.rosaceagroup.org/The_Rosacea_Forum/showthread.php?13631-SIBO-rosacea-link What do you guys think?
  3. So has there been anything that has "cured" anyone? It is getting hot again and my flushing is as worse as ever It's so debilitating to my life. I'm almost afraid to talk to people now (especially females haha)
  4. They would help control the symptoms, but you would be better of using hyperthyroid medication that treats the actual condition thus reducing symptoms. Luckily thyroid function is easy to test via blood work so talk to your doctor. well, im already on thyroid medicine im just thinking that my dose is too high, and that i should just lower it oh, and please post your experiences asap
  5. So after a little more research, i was reading about how hyperthyrodism could be a cause for the heat intolerance, sweating, and facial flushing i experience. If this is my problem, would beta blockers, lasers, or anti inflammatory medications be necessary? Thanks
  6. I keep hearing about how great it is for acne scars, but i dont know what to believe Some people say it works great for them, but then you have others who say that it makes their skin really oily and they break out. Anyone have any experience with this product? http://www.bio-oil.com/uses.html
  7. okay, so what can be the cause of the red cheeks? I read that it could be Keratosis pilaris, accutane, and now lupus? I dont really know what to think I can i find out for sure what my problem is? Maybe once i find out, i can start really focusing on solutions Oh, and if im looking into laser treatment, which would be my best option? Thanks
  8. I have the SAME issue! It seems to get worse throughout the day too. It's like I have a combination of rosacea, hyper sensitivity to water and chemicals and just plain acne (whiteheads and red bumps). If you find a miracle cure let me know. Preferably something with natural ingredients. christ, this is me. this stuff just seems so impossible to get rid of its practically a full on phobia for me now
  9. WAIT! cold hands and feet plus flushing could be a disease?!?!?! I have had those symptoms for a while and no doctor has been been able to tell me why. How do I get checked for lupus? What about this other thing you are talking about rob?
  10. Oil king: How is the Prozac going? Still well I hope. I was wondering though, do you think it was ur anxiety causing flushing, or the heat? I sometimes flush because I'm worrying about flushing, so I dunno if that was what is happening to you? Has it changed ur mood/attitude? Are you happier or more energetic? I'm still just wondering how it could possibly help with the flushing? I'm on lamictal now, which apparently the strongest thing to help anxiety next to lithium, and I'm still flushing. My
  11. How is the flushing oilking? Prozac still doing the job?
  12. jesus.... i gotta get on this How do you think i should word this to my psych? Should i just tell him i think i might have more success with prozac than with Trileptal? Should i mention the prevention of flushing to him? He was the one who prescribed the clonidine btw, so maybe he'll be more sympathetic? Has your complexion gotten any better? Your skin blotchy at all? Did you have acne before that is getting better? Has it helped with oiliness at all? Thanks dude No I wouldn't use it as a re

  14. wtffffffffffff??!?! are u serious? Ive never heard anything about that. Hmmmm, well my doc told me that wellbutrin was sort of like an anti anxiety/anti depression med. He said it was different than other anti depressants and that it wouldnt make me a "zombie" EDIT: Do you flush from the heat or cold? Has the prozac helped with that? That is my biggest problem. I flush when it gets too hot no matter what, and i dont know how to fight it
  15. 1. Congratulations!!! 2. I envy the hell out of you. 3. Do you believe that Prozac would be more effective than clonidine? Why or why not? I've never been able to get a script for clonidine myself but I have yet to read a success story with it's use that involves COMPLETE remission of flushing. Most users just state that it signifigantly lowers their flushing threshold and intensity. Also, clonidine creates a rebound flush (as in if you take it in the morning, you will have a big flush after t
