  1. Just thought I'd update and say that I introduced all the vitamins and supplements slowly and none of them made me break out! My hair has not grown that much though

It took around 6 months but Yaz has cleared me up completely. I don't have any side effects from it, so no weight gain, mood swings or initial acne break out. It did take a while for my cycle to regulate, but this can be the case with all oral contraceptives.
  3. Why do you want to take biotin? To grow my hair! Might sound silly but I'm growing out a pixie cut and I'm impatient!
  4. Thanks for the replies folks. I've decided to add the B vitamins gradually. I've started off with taking 3000mcg of Biotin, and if it hasn't broken me out after around 3 weeks , I'll add the B12, then the Niacin. I'll post my results soon. Hopefully they won't break me out as I have the clearest skin I've had for a long time at the moment.
  5. Hi all, I just bought a large amount of supplements and wondered if you could tell me if any of these can make acne worse? Vitamin A Vitamin B12 Vitamin C Vitamin D3 Vitamin E Biotin Niacinamide Zinc Iron MSM I'm taking the A, C, D3, E and zinc specifically to help my acne. The rest I am taking to help my hair grow. I read a few things that said vitamin B12 and biotin can make acne worse. Is this proven? Has anyone here had problems with their skin getting worse when taking
  6. I tried Yasmin twice and both times it gave me a horrible yeast infection that cleared up as soon as I stopped taking it both times. It cleared up my back acne but didn't really work on my face. I'm wondering if I tried it for longer it would have helped my face too. As much as I want clear skin though, I'm not sure if a constant yeast infection is worth it...
  7. Just found this thread yesterday and thought I'd give this a try. I'm a 27 year old woman, had acne since about 14, and have tried everything. Some things have worked really well but only for a limited amount of time - accutane, Dianette, Dan's regimen. Others have not worked at all - antibiotics, omega supplements, other topicals. I've got very oily skin and have been on Dan's regimen for about 4 years which usually keeps the worst of my acne at bay, and up until a couple of weeks ago, my acne
  8. I have been using Dan's BP for a couple of weeks now and every time I put it on my face, my eyes immediately start stinging and streaming. It stops after the BP has been rubbed into my skin but it's really painful until then. I last used Dan's BP in 2006 and had no problems then. I used Panoxyl until they stopped manufacturing it because it was cheaper to buy in the UK than Dan's. Has this happened to anyone else or have I got a bad batch?
  9. My current tube has an expiry date of 01/2014 so I'm ok for now. I have no idea what I'll do in the future! Any suggestions?
  10. Thanks guys, I just bought a year's supply from Express Chemist. Panic over for a year!
  11. Argh! This stuff was amazing and the only thing that keeps me clear! What can I use as an alternative? Is Quinoderm just as good? Thanks in advance!

Clears up skin Very inexpensive Does not smell Very cumbersome having to apply every night. Cannot apply foundation over it very well. I initially used the 2.5% strength which cleared me up around 80%. I switched to 5% because I couldn't find the 2.5% and found it clears me up about 97% which for me is brilliant. I have tried everything including Roaccutane and this is the only thing that works. At first I used it both morning and evening and initially it does burn your skin and m

    1. Hello! I'm sorry acne makes you feel so bad, I know exactly how you feel about not wanting to go swimming, camping etc. I recommend that you try Dan's regimen on this site, it has worked wonders for many people here if you are prepared to have dry flaky skin for the first couple of weeks.
