  1. Day 17- Initial Breakout? I woke up this morning and looked in the mirror. As the words of Bruno Mars played throughout the speakers "Today I don't feel like doing anything, I just wanna lay in my bed" perfectly described how I felt. I feel as though this is the beginning of the dreaded IB! I have about ten new pimples and they're not the little white heads I had previously gotten. Some are HUGE red nodules! The good news is its the weekend, the bad news is my friend wants me to go to a party
  2. Day 15 Today I am halfway through my first pack of Accutane, which is a bit exciting. I would say my skin is worse today than day 11. It is a bit less oily, so that part is nice, but i have at least five new pimples. One thing I've noticed since being on Accutane though, is that when a zit decides to pop up it doesn't look as offensive as when a zit would appear prior to accutane. They are smaller and are not super inflamed or red. In other words you can't see them from across the town. I
  3. I meant to post this in here, not in a new folder. Sorry! So today was day 11. My lips are feeling slightly drier and my skin is becoming itchy everywhere (especially my nose and scalp). Nothing too bad by any means though. Throughout the week I experienced a few minor white heads on my face that all cleared within a couple days. Other than that nothing much to report for my face. My back on the other hand, which I haven't ever been too concerned about, has broken out like crazy! But its sti

  5. heyy I enjoy reading your log as I just started my journey on accutane nine days ago. I am from Canada as well and most users recommend Aquaphor, but I don't think it is sold here. Have you found it? or what are you using for your lips? thanks and good luck!
  6. Thanks you too! I'm on 40 mg a day as well. I'm actually on day 9 now (I wrote that on day 6 but forgot to post it) and I definitely have 5-6 new whiteheads. alright thanks And I checked out your log and will continue to look at it to compare our progress.
  7. Heyy. so I finally decided to take accutane after suffering with acne since grade six. (now i'm in grade 12) I, like most people, was extremely turned away by the possible severe side effects, but I decided six years was too long to deal with the emotional effects of acne and I finally gave in. My acne is not extremely severe but very persistent. I have tried numerous different products, none of which made a huge difference. -Benzyl peroxide -Oxy -Acne free -Clean and Clear scrubs -Dianne 35 -h
  8. omg!!! i was reading this and every single one I was like check , check, check.I have done or still do all of these except the makeup one. Thank you. It made me smile and tear up at the same time
  9. Im the other way around... When you avoid mirrors and wash your face with the lights dimmed out. me too!! i dont understand how people look in the mirror so many times per day. I only look in the mirror when 1. Im really far away or 2. the lights are off or it is dim lighting. Everytime you look in the mirror you cry you go to the derm every month for two years.
  10. I hate the "pizza face" term too! In grade 7 a bunch of guys were standing together laughing and I later figured out it was at me, calling me pizza face and other really unoriginal nicknames refering to my acne. This upset me a lot and I started to cry but I tried not to let anyone see. I cried myself to sleep for several weeks and now 4 years I barely look in the mirror because I can't handle seeing my acne. This site is amazing because I can finally talk to people about this who actually u
  11. I just joined yesterday too:) Although, I've been reading other people's posts from before... I guess I don't want people I know to find out about it. (nothing to be ashamed of really!) Anyway, I think if you're used to not wearing makeup then don't ever wear it. If you could get away with it, good on ya! Well sorry to hear that your acne is worse than mine but all I can say is it's really better to not put as much products as possible. Just keep washing your face with organic cleanser (free o
  12. I just joined today I have been on the site for about 3 years but never registered. I know exactly how you feel, except for I have never worn makeup ever in my life and my acne is worse than yours. Also I dont look in the mirror unless the lighting is dim enough that I can't really tell I have acne. It is very hard to deal with but I fake confidence. You what drives me crazy though? My friends who have perfect skin that I would die for complain about one tiny barely noticeable pimple and th
