  1. Any updates on you guys using Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree oil? Does it sill work wonders?
  2. Hi! I often read threads of people being on Retin-A for treating acne. But I find it hard to find out how it actually did work for them. So I'm therefore making this topic and poll in hope of hearing some experiences. - Did Retin-A treat your acne? - And do you have to continue using it to maintain its effect? Or was it enough with 3-5 months? - Any other experiences? All inputs would be of great help, Thanks!
  3. Hi! I've heard that Retin-A also are being used against sun and pigmentation damage. Probably by decreasing the amount of melanin in the skin. Is this true? Does Retin-A (or Differing for that matter), give you a lighter skin color? I'm satisfied with my skin color, and gets a tan pretty easily. I'm therefore worried that it will give me a lighter looking skin. And does it give you a thinner skin permanently, or just only while being used? Any ideas?
  4. Thanks a lot for your inputs guys, much appreciated! AcniBoi, that pretty much confirmed what I suspected.
  5. Regarding scarring. Does it clear up some icepick/boxed scars as well. Or only the red marks?
  6. Been browsing around in the forums here for a long while, and read a lot of experiences on all kinds of products & medicines. And what strikes me is that, the only thing that really seem to work out for people is Accutane. BP, topical retinoids etc. seems to work so-so, and are products that you need to use continuously to maintain any result. Am I wrong.. but is Accutane The only "Real" effective treatment out there which really cures acne?
  7. I agree with you 100% it took me from 3 to 6 months to see a major difference now 11 yrs later and still using retin-a my skin is still looking good I absolutely love this stuff!!!!! I think i saw my worse break out when first starting retin-a at around 3 weeks and again at 2 to 3 months but it was all worth it in the long run Which means you have to use this product continuously to maintain its effect, even after a year?
  8. Hi! I'm currently about to start my Tretinoin treatment (0.1%), and been reading a long on the forum to hear some experiences around it. But I can't find much info on the long-term effects of it. So here's my question to those who've been using Tret. + Does Tretinoin give you a permanent effect AFTER stopping the program? So it can go under the category of a cure, like f.ex Accutane. - OR does it only work AS LONG as you use it? (and the the effect usually disappears after stopping the treat
