  1. It really, really works for me

I used to think I had extremely oily, sensitive skin...but after quitting ALL acne-specific products, I realized my skin has just been reacting to all the aggressive things I used on it. I switched to very, very gentle cleansing products and oils, and my skin has made an incredible turnaround. I use micellar water as a cleanser morning and night, do not rinse, and follow with skin oils (argan in morning, rosehip in evening). My skin looks perfect. Micellar water really worked for me, and it's a
  2. Hey all, I want to give everyone an update on how my skin is doing. My skin looks amazing. There were some major bumps in the road since I last wrote this post, however. I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but after everything I've been through all I can conclude is that the skincare industry (particularly the acne industry) does not want its consumers to have clear skin. "Acne wasn't invented until Clearasil." Here's what I've learned: 1) Birth control pills can be the best thing e
  3. I wanted to write a quick post about my experience with a short course of Accutane in 2013. I had very red, oily skin with hundreds of little red pimples all over my face and big pimples and oily skin on my back (and butt, and legs, and neck...). I went on a 6 month, low dose course. While I was on it, I had no side effects except dry lips and my skin (face and body) looked BEAUTIFUL. I thought I was cured and the nightmare was over. Immediately after the course, my skin got oily again. I st

I don't like spot treatments. I'm pretty much at the stage where once I have a zit, i'm pissed because it exists and spot treatment is not even close to a method of controlling acne. That said, this really works for me. A dab of it speeds up the healing time of zits (that have come to the surface or have been broken...) to overnight. It also heals cuts, bruises, burns and insect bites incredibly quickly (truly). The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is because its noticeably smelly and sh
  5. Hey everyone! I have used this site as a resource for years, but I've only just signed up so I can leave a post about the amazing things i've learned over the past year and maybe spread some hope- I am definitely a success story. I've had acne since I was 15, and I'm now nearly 27. It was very mild at first and my skin wasn't red, but as I got older it got much worse. I was lucky never to have cysts on my face or even what you would call severe acne, but it has been constantly broken out, red,
