  1. I only used a little bit of it. Somethings just don't work for everyone. If it works for you, and works for G angelo, great. Just thought I'd share my $.02
  2. I'm oily prone and heard wonders of jojoba oil so I tried it. Yuck! I liked it for the first hour or so, but then my face turned into an oil slick. I've said it before and I'll say it again...Murad oil control mattifying moisturizer. It's my holy grail moisturizer. Absolutely adore it.
  3. Face: Murad oil-control mattifying moisturizer with SPF 15 Neutrogena Dry Touch with SPF 30 (they make it in SPF 15-100+ but I've heard 30 is the least oily. It's what I have) Body: Aveeno
  4. Cleansing too much is going to dry you out. Oh, and what's in those face washes (the Neutrogena and Clean and Clear) Too much bp or salicylic acid will contribute to dryness.
  5. Reporting back in on this one. I bought Murad's Oil Control Mattifying Moisturizer with SPF 15, Spot Treatment (made with sulfur), and Skin Perfecting Lotion (contains minimal amounts of retinol). The spot treatment broke me out like no other. I used it for a week. Garbage. Other than that...I like it. The oil control moisturizer keeps my very oil-prone skin in check all day. And I absolutely love the SPF now since the sun is shining. I highly recommend this. I just went to a derm yesterday
  6. Teehee. Ejaculation. A lot of people believe that semen on the face helps clear skin. They call it a 'facial' for a reason.
  7. It's my goal to be clear by the time I'm married. Hopefully that will be soon! <3
  8. Warm water. Cold water closes your pores so the cleanser can't properly do it's job. Hot water can break capillaries and make redness more pronounced.
  9. Never ever go to bed with makeup on! It's not that hard to wash your face at night. It takes about 30 seconds. On the rare occasion I wear makeup, I use Neutrogena cleansing makeup remover followed by my regular cleanser. Cetaphil also supposedly removes makeup.
  10. I thought you said you were clear, and that you couldn't tell you ever had acne?
  11. I've wanted to give up so many times. I've tried dozens upon dozens of drug store products (clean and clear, neutrogena, noxema, clearasil, clinique, acne.org, just to name a few). I've been using Murad and Cetaphil in the past month which has helped tremendously. I'm darn-near clear. In fact, the derm only pointed out some clogged pores to treat...nothing horrible. I refuse to give up.
  12. This is the internet. Not everyone is sympathetic and telling you what you want to hear. We all have different perspectives and we all cope with skin problems in different ways. If you don't like what someone says, ignore it. "We probably wouldn't worry about what people think of us if we could know how seldom they do. ~Olin Miller" This quote is so true. Just forget about other people. Not everyone in the street sees you. When they do see you, chances are they aren't scrutinizing your skin lo
  13. Quote from my mom. So supportive, right? Today I went to a skin care spa. They recommended a higher SPF for summer as well as Retin-A (I made an appointment with their partner dermatologist for two weeks from now). They also recommended microdermabrasion. I have my first one on Thursday. I called to tell my mom this primarily because I need our insurance card for the dermatologist. Now, I'm 20 years old, turning 21 in three months. I've had acne since I was 12. When I was in high school I had
  14. Dab it on with a makeup sponge, don't swipe it on. Make sure you're properly moisturized. If the skin is dry, putting makeup on top will make you look white and flaky. What kind of makeup are you buying...liquid or powder? What brand?
  15. OMG I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. The consistency is comparable to Elmer's Glue but it works wonders. Normally my skin needs blotted after like 4 hours. Oh no. Not with this. I put it on at 11 am. Went shopping for 3 hours, drove home in the sun for 4 hours, ate pizza, napped, etc. and then at 1 am my skin still looked good. I had a little bit of slickness under the nostrils, but nothing too noticeable. Thank you so much for recommending this. I suggest this to ANYONE who has oily skin.
