I've been taking Retin-A for 2 months now, and I've started to break out in whiteheads. Since Retin-A is only a nighttime application, I am wondering if it is alright to use Dan's regimen in the morning?

I know you're not supposed to tan while you have active acne, but I was wondering what if all your current acne was gone? Then it would make your red marks look better right?

So I've been on Dan's regimen for about 5 months, until I got completely clear. Now I've switched to Retin-A micro to remove the red marks that linger around. One month in, I break out with whiteheads all the time. Just now I've decided to spot treat the whiteheads with Dan's BP. I also noticed my face being oily, should I moisturize or something? Thanks.

I myself use Retin-A micro without the aid of a cleanser or a moisturizer. Although there is that certain shiny glow on my face, I'm not willing to risk using a moisturizer as it usually turns my face into a tomato. If your skin is really dry, I hear jojoba oil is the way to go. Good luck!

Oh man, 4 years is a long time to suffer. I'm on retin a as well and I've found that it has erased all my blackheads. If you really can't look at people anymore try adding some makeup.

I wish I could help you, but unfortunately I have the same problem. How long have yours been around for? I've had mine since October with no signs of improvement.

yeah mine seem to be taking forever. I'm 16 years old and I've had red marks since october. I have no active acne now, but it still looks like I have plenty of acne as the red marks are very visible.

Frick, so I've tried Dan's AHA and some Ratio-Amcinonide which was given to me by a derm. I've had these red marks for about 4 months, and both of these treatments haven't helped me one bit. It probably doesn't help how I have asian skin and for asians, red marks stick around forever. In the past few weeks, I've noticed that my red marks are actually turning into scars, contrary to what Dan was saying. Any help on how to prevent red marks getting into scars would be much appreciated.

Renie, can you please explain more about this sunscreen method of yours? How do you apply it and how many times a day? What kind of sunscreen?
