  1. Moved from Nutrition and Holistic Health Forum (sorry, didn't realize there was a vitamin forum til after I posted it!) So I did a little quick reading on peoples reviews about how fish oil may cause acne. I understand it needs to be balanced with omega 6's and 9's (which I am not doing), but that sounds like a difficult thing to figure out in a timely manner. Anyway, I have been taking 1200mg of fish oil, 50mg zinc, and 500 mg of vitamin C each day for pretty much two months exactly as of tod

Anyway, I have been taking 1200mg of fish oil, 50mg zinc, and 500 mg of vitamin C each day for pretty much two months exactly as of today (the same amount of time I have been on the regimen). I actually only added the vitamin C about 3 weeks ago. I notic
  3. You're skin looks amazing after such a short period of time! Trust me, you're lucky to have such mild acne...it's so much easier to get under control than moderate to severe (like I have). Your skin tone looks amazing though, and I wouldn't even have noticed the blackheads had you not pointed them out. Looking good! Continued good luck to you!
  4. I would also just like to quickly add that I have been using 9169 (07/11) batch with no problems. Though I can't compare it to past batches as this is my first time purchasing it, but I haven't had any problems other than what was expected (initial purging, some burning, stinging, etc). It has been feeling better on my skin recently, but that can be attributed to the fact that my skin is finally getting used to it after 5.5 weeks of continued use, and not necessarily because it's had 5 weeks to
  5. I experience burning and itching with the DKR moisturizer as well. Some nights (always the nights that I applied a lot of it, and I don't use it in the morning) I would get some serious burning and itching!! The itching was usually only under my jaw and not so much my face, but the burning was everywhere! What I have found that works is applying less of the moisturizer. I don't know if you can, depending on the severity of your dryness, but try applying less. I started off by applying one full
  6. What moisturizer are you using? I've been using Dan's at night...using less and less each night because my skin burns less, if at all, when I use less, and I make up with more jojoba oil. And in the mornings I'm using Complex 15....love the way it feels and that it's oil free (I wear makeup, so have to have oil free), but lately it seems my skin gets oilier throughout the day than it used to with my old moisturizer that I didn't like...
  7. It's going okay. I'm breaking out kind of bad again right now (it's weird, clears up for a few days then I break out for a week, then clears, then I break out!). I have just started using AHA so that may be why, but my cheeks and jaw are where my breakouts seem to be staying. I need to get an update up with some pictures! How have you been doing on it?

    1. How is your regimen going sushikam?

      1. Good for you deciding to stop using your make-up! I don't think I could manage it. And that goes to answer your question...YES! I feel that way each night! I only feel good while wearing my makeup and know that as soon as it's off I'll go into a sometimes depressive state (depending on the severity of my acne at the time). I'm hoping that one day within the next month or two I'll be able to wash it off and still be happy...maybe eventually stop using it, or as much of it! If only I could beli
      2. I'll add a quick reply saying I have been wearing make up for years. I just started the regimen nearly 5 weeks ago and haven't stopped wearing it. It's mineral makeup, and I have NEVER had a problem with it breaking me out in the past years I've been using it, so I figured there is no reason to stop using it as gMARIAs said - if it isn't breaking you out, and you know it, then you can continue using it if you feel you need to. I am one who just cannot bring myself to go out without makeup, so I
      3. Just read through some of your more recent posts. I started a couple weeks after you, and feel I am experiencing basically the same things you are, except I'm not too certain if my breakouts are hormonal. But I noticed when I switched birth controls back in May my acne continuously got worse, so I contribute it to the new birth control. Anyway, good to hear you only have one active pimple!! I know how those scars/red marks feel though!! On the right side of my face my whole jaw cheek area is f
      4. Hadn't even thought of that! Thanks...I'll try that out tonight and see if it starts helping hopefully after a week. I'm now finding the same problem on my collar bone at my neck, too much BP being applied there I suppose so I'm turning red with a burn like appearance...I'll tone down the amount of BP I apply for my body acne in that area. Thanks again!
      5. I have been on the regimen for right at 4 weeks now. I still am breaking out, mainly on the left side of my face on my cheeks, and every now and again on my forehead...seems the right side of my face purged in the beginning and hasn't had much problem other than a few stray pimples since. What I'm finding puzzling, and painfully aggravating (literally) is that under my cheeks, under my jawline I should say, it is flaking really bad, has been for a little over a week maybe, and I'm even beginni
      6. I think a reason for the breaking out may be an initial purging. I've read other posts on this board that they break out initially from it (myself included...assuming it's not just purging from the BP) but then it clears up. Seems that with almost any product you will have to purge, as is true with the AHA also if I'm not mistaken, and of course the BP....
      7. I know you said you were going to possibly pick up some Cetaphil, but if you can't get it, or don't like it, and can order products online, I recommend Complex 15 Therapeutic moisturizer. It has the same consistency as Dan's moisturizer, but creates no burning or redness and moisturizes pretty well! It's not quite as moisturizing as Dan's, but if you add some jojoba oil it's great. I use it in the mornings because I wear makeup and don't want to use Dan's moisturizer with the jojoba oil in it.
