  1. So, I've been using this Claroderm micropeeling cloth for two days now and it's great. Before, I was cleansinng my face once in the morning and once in the evening with your typical facial cleanser. Now, I cleanse my face as I normally would in the morning, and cleanse with the Claroderm cloth in the evening. This thing is awesome. It's the most gentle cleansing method that I've come across so far. It exfoliates very well without irritation, and it doesn't leave my face dry and flaky. I'm
  2. I've been doing some research in an attempt to find a sponge or cloth for exfoliation and stumbled across this little gem. It's called the konjac sponge. It's a completely natural antibacterial vegetable fiber sponge used to exfoliate, cleanse, moisturize, and balance the skin's ph all without the addition of soap or moisturizer. Just add water. Of course, a cleanser or soap can be used in conjunction, but the claim is that it does all of this without the use of a cleanser or soap. It's bee
  3. Tried it. . . worked wonders for a year. . . after a year, skin was beginning to worsen. . . two years into Proactiv three step, I quit using it. My skin became worse than it was before I started using. Now, after about 4 months, I'm still experimenting and searching for something to help with my acne.
  4. Hi, missziddi. Yes, I had the same experience with the black soap being drying. It definitely removes all of the oil from the face. I think this probably contributed to making my condition worse. I tried using cold instead of warm water when washing and rinsing, and it helped slightly, but the dryness was still there. And, I have extremely oily skin. As much as I would have liked to use only once a day, it was simply out of the question due because of my oily skin. I'm still using thi
  5. Okay, I stopped using it. My condition was only getting worse. As a matter of fact, I had several blackheads around my nose and chin area turn into painful nodules and cysts. . . not good! I've made the switch to Lika's papaya soap and have been using it for a couple days now. First impressions are okay. We'll see where this takes me. . . . still searching
  6. Well, I'm still not sure what to think about it just yet. I've been using it (raw African black soap from Ghana) for about three days and haven't experienced any dramatic positive results. I'm a 26 year old male and my acne is in the moderate range. Don't get me wrong. It's definitely a wonderful cleanser, but I'm not too sure if it's helping my acne. I've actually had a few new papules and pustules, but nothing out of the norm. Like I said, it's only been a few days with twice a day use (
  7. Are you serious? It's the VAPORS. The VAPORS of petroleum jelly that should not be inhaled because it is known to cause respiratory issues. Please, refrain from the personal attacks. We're here to learn and help one another; not to insult and ridicule one another. Oh, and by the way. I always thought petroleum jelly would clog pores. . . guess you learn something new everyday.
  8. Update: My acne has taken a turn for the worst. A positive note is that the bumps that were so prevalent on my forehead and temples before are almost completely gone. My forehead is 95% smoother than it was before I started using this product. And, the soap is the only thing I use on this area of my face. The blackheads on my nose are also diminishing very well. Now, the bad: I have several inflamed pimples in my mustache area. Several more reside along my jawline and sideburns on both s
  9. How severe is your acne? If it's falls somewhere before the moderate range, I strongly suggest trying the Deitanseki facial bar. I just washed my face with it and it feels so-o-o-o good. If not, try out some other sort of natural soap. You can find a wealth of different natural soaps along with reviews at Amazon.com. I went through the same problem with benzoyl peroxide products, especially Proactiv. They're loaded with BP. Personally, I like being in the sun as much as possible, and the
  10. Forgot to mention, for 5 days I have been taking vitamin A, E, and zinc supplements. It doesn't seem like these are helping any though. Of course, it may take a while for my internals to react to these supplements.
  11. Okay, seems no one yet has used this product. I didn't want to start off the post by giving anyone false assumptions or hopes, so I implied that I haven't tried the product yet. The fact is, I have been using this soap for about 5 days now, and I have noticed an improvement in my complexion. It's actually improved very well over the 3 step Proactiv that I was using before. I have noticed a reduction in oil on my entire face as well as a reduction of irritated pimples. Note this is only a re
  12. Has anyone had any experience in using any of the Dead Sea mud soaps available? Please see my other post on Deitanseki soap. I'm wondering about this one as well. Thanks!
  13. Has anyone had any experience with the Deitanseki clay and charcoal bar? I have recently given up on using Proactiv after 2 plus years. It just stopped working. My face wold turn oily within an hour of the three step process, and I continued to suffer from constant mild to moderate acne. It was no longer worth the money I was sinking into it. So, I have been researching the all natural route, figuring the chemicals were beginning to do more harm than good, and have read some pretty convinci
