  1. Hi Nicholas, Yes I am willing to come forward and take action. I understand what you're saying and what you claim. I am 28 and this drug has really damaged my skins ability to heal plus more. Anxiety and depression I have also suffered since taking the drug. I would want this drug to be taken more seriously and for them to tell you it was designed as a CHEMOTHERAPY drug. Something they don't tell you. Side effects are also not all temporary but some can remain permanent. Essentially I wish
  2. i don't think yours are that bad tbh with you Nicholas and believe me I don't lie to anyone I am not here to make people feel good. I just like helping people who need it. I think derma rolling would help you to smooth out the cheeks most certainly, your forehead looks *perfect in my eyes as does other areas of the skin and generally the colour is even so it looks uniform. So I don't think you need to worry too much on that note. It could be a hell of a lot worse! believe me. Just look
  3. Hi, yeah taking anti biotics before accutane to reduce the IB is a smart approach. However.... They will utlimately ruin your intestinal flora and system, and accutane will make your skin more sensitive and likely to scar. Personally i'd advise getting hormone levels checked out and avoid accutane like the plague. unless you want rubbish skin forever.. of course there are those lucky people whereby it works miracles and tbh accutane is for CYSTIC acne not any other form (though it do
  4. I too broke out like crazy after accutane. Actually, broke out in cysts... which I NEVER did before (not like this). So I have lots of hyperpigmentation and scars. Stick with the gentle products, what dose were you on? have you scarred or is it just minor break outs?
  5. hi nicholas. I too feel it was the biggest regret of my life. luckily i only did 20mg for 4.5 months. But it was still enough to cause damage shall we say. I never used to scar or be left with hyperpigmentation but now I have! I plan to wait 1 year until after the day I stopped the accutane and begin derma rolling or stamping. Not sure I'd recommend Bio oil. It can block the pores. Maybe try a vitamin C serum? I'm guessing you were like me, skin didn't have a tendency to scar
  6. pretty awesome post. Might look into this actually although I did 4.5 months of accutane so dont know how long I have to wait before being able to
  7. ah ok thanks, so what kind of acne do you get? or did you have? during the 3 years you saw no improvement ! that is not the news i wanted to hear. I wonder if you'll see improvement now on the second course? what dose are you on? have you asked your derm about the red marks? did you try anything to cure the red marks/ scars? why cant you use AHA or lasers? would you try those after treatments? I know you're meant to wait 6 months post treatment before seeking any skin resurfacing
  8. i stopped treatment early and have a fair few boxes... lol just saying
  9. if this is your second treatment, what happened on the first one? did the red marks/scars leave (fade by 90% after a given amount of time?)
  10. good post. So.. how is the healing ability of your skin? i.e do you find it scars easily or leaves red/hyperpigmentation marks behind that don't fade? I am 2 months or so post accutane, I did 20mg daily for 4.5 months.. at the beginning things went great, hardly and new spots and gunk being brought to the surface clearing the pores out. I think due to the moisturiers and spf i was using at that time, slowly congested the skin (under the skin type bumps, filled with a harder sebum plug, y
  11. hi v dub, i think you will need to be referred again, but then i am not 100% sure. I called up and thats what they told me, if it was for a new issue. so yeah since its the same issue i don't see why they wouldn't. I might try and call mine again. Can I ask... when you stopped accutane did you have any scars because of it or hyperpigmentation? if so, did it improve? disappear? Ive been left with hyper pigmentation from cysts that errupted when I came off the course... i was on the
  12. Its a shame you feel uncomfortable mate because your skin is in my honest opinion flawless. reason i asked about accutane is because i did a low does for 4.5 months 20mg daily for light/mild acne on my face and back, but persistent... not a day would pass without a new spot. I am 27 years old. and just wanted to sort it out and cracked under the pressure. I have since learned it wasn't the best decision in the world. When i stopped the treatment my clogged pores all turned into cystic
  13. Personally I have had red marks in the past, and the only way I would fade it is by simply waiting it out. Takes a few months yes. I've talked to many dermatologists in the past and they've told me the best treatment would be pulsed dye laser. Now, rosacea patients are given that treatment and it does, in fact, work. Will it work on red marks? Absolutely. However these things tend to cost a lot, like a serious amount of dough ($900+) if done by a professional. Are your red marks a reall

  16. Why were you banned? you must be careful with BHA's and AHA's, some you wash off others you can leave on. Paula's choice has a good range of products with anti irritants. Where are you from? how old are you?
  17. Lumenis Ultrapulse carbon dioxide laser - just done some research on laser re-surfacing because after a year or two post accutane (so 2016) i may consider it. This laser looks great from the results i have witnessed on youtube - just look at how it saved an acid burns victim what are peoples thoughts. has anyone had experience with this type of laser?
  18. hey bud did you also break out late crazy coming off them? i did. No i didnt take anti's with accutane. i'd never touch anti's again or accutane. Be careful with accutane if you do decide to do it. If your acne is scarring, get on it soon and do not play with it i.e pop or squeeze anything. accutane can actually cause scarring as well as heal it, for me it caused more scars than i had before but hopefully now the last of the acne has come to a head and been rid from my body and fac
  19. aha - alpha hydroxy acid. I did 20mg (considered a low dose) - it dried me up like crazy, the oil has returned already for the most part but overall a lot dryer than i was prior to taking it. Hair became brittle and fell out in places. I lost strength at the gym and any small graze or infliction becomes a huge problem taking days to heal. Deffo a huge regret of my life. but you cannot undo whats been done - just have to hope recovery returns to normal - perhaps it takes years.
  20. nah it doesnt. im using it for like 3 years already? btw think abt it...3 YRS!!!! and theres barely ny diff at all, my face is still crappy (even after all this time and all effort ive ever done for it) and even worse? got this free tan out of nowhere too...:s it just refreshes your skin a bit and helps with flakes if you have but thats like it! n then your skin gets used to it or some shit like tht in its useless at all!! what to do? they need to come up with smtn absolutely new?? like
  21. ok fair enough. but the whole point of this forum is to help, something obvious to one may not be to another. Plus the shear amount of info on google is crazy, but of course getting a starting point here to then go and do your own research is important. can i ask you then what is the best method if there is one, for removing red marks?
  22. post inflammatory hyperpigmentation - brown/dark marks post inflammatory Erythema - pink/red marks
  23. pretty sure it does :/ - superficial scars not deep pitted scars, minor boxcar and red marks/ brown marks. What can be done and when after accutane?
  24. a little research will go a long way. please expand if you know the answer. I know AHA are good for PIH but the redness caused from blood vessels constricting or rushing to the site.. pretty sure there isn't anything than can be done other than waiting it out. or something like v beam or fraxel laser
