  1. Hi Nicholas, Yes I am willing to come forward and take action. I understand what you're saying and what you claim. I am 28 and this drug has really damaged my skins ability to heal plus more. Anxiety and depression I have also suffered since taking the drug. I would want this drug to be taken more seriously and for them to tell you it was designed as a CHEMOTHERAPY drug. Something they don't tell you. Side effects are also not all temporary but some can remain permanent. Essentially I wish

    Post Accutane Scars

i don't think yours are that bad tbh with you Nicholas and believe me I don't lie to anyone I am not here to make people feel good. I just like helping people who need it. I think derma rolling would help you to smooth out the cheeks most certainly, your forehead looks *perfect in my eyes as does other areas of the skin and generally the colour is even so it looks uniform. So I don't think you need to worry too much on that note. It could be a hell of a lot worse! believe me. Just look
  3. Hi, yeah taking anti biotics before accutane to reduce the IB is a smart approach. However.... They will utlimately ruin your intestinal flora and system, and accutane will make your skin more sensitive and likely to scar. Personally i'd advise getting hormone levels checked out and avoid accutane like the plague. unless you want rubbish skin forever.. of course there are those lucky people whereby it works miracles and tbh accutane is for CYSTIC acne not any other form (though it do

    After Accutane Breakout

I too broke out like crazy after accutane. Actually, broke out in cysts... which I NEVER did before (not like this). So I have lots of hyperpigmentation and scars. Stick with the gentle products, what dose were you on? have you scarred or is it just minor break outs?

    Post Accutane Scars

hi nicholas. I too feel it was the biggest regret of my life. luckily i only did 20mg for 4.5 months. But it was still enough to cause damage shall we say. I never used to scar or be left with hyperpigmentation but now I have! I plan to wait 1 year until after the day I stopped the accutane and begin derma rolling or stamping. Not sure I'd recommend Bio oil. It can block the pores. Maybe try a vitamin C serum? I'm guessing you were like me, skin didn't have a tendency to scar

    Acne Not A Puzzle Anymore.

pretty awesome post. Might look into this actually although I did 4.5 months of accutane so dont know how long I have to wait before being able to
  7. ah ok thanks, so what kind of acne do you get? or did you have? during the 3 years you saw no improvement ! that is not the news i wanted to hear. I wonder if you'll see improvement now on the second course? what dose are you on? have you asked your derm about the red marks? did you try anything to cure the red marks/ scars? why cant you use AHA or lasers? would you try those after treatments? I know you're meant to wait 6 months post treatment before seeking any skin resurfacing

    Difficult Accutane Related Decision...

i stopped treatment early and have a fair few boxes... lol just saying
  10. if this is your second treatment, what happened on the first one? did the red marks/scars leave (fade by 90% after a given amount of time?)

    Over 3 Years Post Accutane!

good post. So.. how is the healing ability of your skin? i.e do you find it scars easily or leaves red/hyperpigmentation marks behind that don't fade? I am 2 months or so post accutane, I did 20mg daily for 4.5 months.. at the beginning things went great, hardly and new spots and gunk being brought to the surface clearing the pores out. I think due to the moisturiers and spf i was using at that time, slowly congested the skin (under the skin type bumps, filled with a harder sebum plug, y

2Nd Round Accutane Uk Nhs Advice

hi v dub, i think you will need to be referred again, but then i am not 100% sure. I called up and thats what they told me, if it was for a new issue. so yeah since its the same issue i don't see why they wouldn't. I might try and call mine again. Can I ask... when you stopped accutane did you have any scars because of it or hyperpigmentation? if so, did it improve? disappear? Ive been left with hyper pigmentation from cysts that errupted when I came off the course... i was on the

Can Someone Help Me Identify What Type Of Scarring This Is (Pictures)?

Its a shame you feel uncomfortable mate because your skin is in my honest opinion flawless. reason i asked about accutane is because i did a low does for 4.5 months 20mg daily for light/mild acne on my face and back, but persistent... not a day would pass without a new spot. I am 27 years old. and just wanted to sort it out and cracked under the pressure. I have since learned it wasn't the best decision in the world. When i stopped the treatment my clogged pores all turned into cystic
  14. Personally I have had red marks in the past, and the only way I would fade it is by simply waiting it out. Takes a few months yes. I've talked to many dermatologists in the past and they've told me the best treatment would be pulsed dye laser. Now, rosacea patients are given that treatment and it does, in fact, work. Will it work on red marks? Absolutely. However these things tend to cost a lot, like a serious amount of dough ($900+) if done by a professional. Are your red marks a reall
