  1. I'm wondering if progesterone is the answer for me as well. Some doctors have suggested that I have a hormonal imbalance because of my acne and hair growth but when tests are run they say it's normal. Well, my husband and I were having trouble having children and in order to conceive and keep a pregnancy I had to go on lots of progesterone because the fertility clinic said I wasn't making my own. My skin was the clearest it has ever been while I was pregnant and came back several months after ha
  2. My derm just prescribed this for me. Does anyone know if it's ok to use while breastfeeding? My derm. knows I am breastfeeding and says it is safe, but I just like to aske around as well.
  3. Thanks! Actually he is almost 14 months old. We don't nurse as often now which is why I'm considering going on a med.
  4. Yes, I did talk to her about the fact that I was breastfeeding. She prescribed the benzaclin because she felt it was safe, but I still read the insert carefully and found that it's safety is questionable. When I called the office they still said they felt it was safe to use but offered finacea if I was still uncomfortable. I've done some research through breastfeeding groups but thought someone here might have gone through this as well and have some advice.
  5. I am new here and not sure where the best place is to post this - hoping someone can help. I am currently breastfeeding and my skin has been breaking out worse and worse for the last 3-4 months. My derm. prescribed benzaclin but I read that it shouldn't be used while nursing. I asked her to give me something else and she gave me finacea. Does anyone know if either of these are ok to use while breastfeeding? Anyone know of better options? Thanks!
