Pics after 6 month of dermarolling

dermarolling works best for rolling scars, didnt do much for my boxcars or icepicks but thats my own experience.

just normal collagen/elastin loss with age, but that might occur even if you were dermarolling ETI: i don't know if anything would be "permanent" in the long run

WHAT: 1.) What size needles were/are you using? 1.5mm from memory :/ 2.) What kind of scars were/are you treating? rolling, i also have boxcars and very few icepicks 3.) What topicals, if any, did/do you use before & after each treatment? tried a range of things retinA, rosehip oil, hyaluronic acid, collagen serum. anything moisturising is good. 4.) What vitamins/supplements, if any, did/do you take? just a multivitamin. i occasionally take a multivitamin with copper(only very occasionally a

Pics after 6 month of dermarolling

i rolled for several months but havent done any significant rolling for the past year and the results i got have not dimished in that time, but i only got maybe 50% improvement on my reasonably shallow scars(i probably could get more improvement). i've started needling again recently though, i was doing peels before to improve my skin texture/pigmentation/sun damage (didnt really help) but id assume that with the normal aging process the skin would probably start looking worse after a few year

How Scar Treatments Work - A Must Read!

i'm mainly annoyed that it doesnt take into account the bodys ability to heal and reorganise.

How Scar Treatments Work - A Must Read!

so you actually read journal articles or are you pulling this out of thin air? no my needled scars are not wider only shallower. there are also journal articles which indicate skin thickening and collagen depositing from needling, although i dont take everything i read to be undisputable fact. also, TCA CROSS improves the appearance of scars by causing thickening the dermis.

Retin-A use and TCA peels/TCA cross

you dont need to discontinue retinA beforehand. retinA is actually used to prep the skin before a peel : ) but after the peel you shouldn't use it for about 2 weeks while your skin is recovering.

    Misconceptions of Dermal Rolling

vitamin a is natural.. it is just usually synthesised for products.. and i really doubt topical application after derma rolling would be significant in comparison to ingestion.
  11. just wanted to say congratulations and good luck for your future rolls
  12. yeah i know the suggested waiting time is 4-8 weeks i vary the gap, most of the time i take 4 weeks due to my age and my pre treatment with retin A but when ive done light rolls ive done the next one sooner. either way i havent found its disadvantaged me in any way
  13. Wow, that's good to know that it has helped you. Though in a weird way lol, I've never thought of rolling like that, it's actually a good idea - microswelling would actually mask all the indents. So you're saying that you've experienced 50% so far, right? how many sessions did it take you to go that far? and what's your roller's needle lenght and the brandname? I don't mean to seem annoying with all these questions lol, but you know that all of us are in a same boat + I'll be rolling in the 6

    Dermarolling & Physical excercises

i run/walk at night so i get back to it the day after the roll i resume normal activities a couple of days afterwards because i dont mind showing off my pink face(and i dont do that much anyway, just uni)
