  1. It may be the whey protein. Whey is derived from milk and dairy does cause some people to break out. Consider possibly switching to a different protein type (i've been using hemp protein with great results). I find that too much dairy break me out It also may be the peanut butter. Peanut butter breaks me out also.
  2. Breakfast: 1 1/2 cups oatmeal w/ ground flax seed, blueberries, 1 TBSP honey Lunch: Turkey burger on whole wheat with russian Small salad Dinner: Grilled chicken legs Corn Small Salad I eat a variety of food, but keep away from processed, fried, sugary. I do get cravings but some how get over it. Kind of gets annoying but whatever.
  3. I find that the vitamins and colostrum especially have helped in my success. The vitamin D is EXTREMELY important to skin health especially during the winter when we aren't out in the sun so our body can produce it normally. I don't adjust it during the summer at all even though i'm outside more.
  4. I've been a big lurker here, reading all these posts about food, vitamins blah blah blah. So, i figured i'd take some time when im bored and post about my ideas on keeping clear. 1. Don't touch your face. Seriously, the 2 people that ever touch my face are myself and the woman where i get my eyebrows done. I figure this is a given but i feel like some people touch without knowing. Just dont touch (the next 2 are in combination) 2. Anti-bacterial soap. Easiest thing i've noticed to help my ski
  5. I change mine about once a week and it seems to help
  6. Excellent! I usually drizzle a little honey on my waffles.
  7. I eat these AMAZING toaster waffles by this company called Vans. They are gluten free, sugar free, organic and come in a wide variety of flavors. They are a bit pricey and only come 6 to a box (i eat 2 for breakfast with some fruit), but they are very tasty and fill me up. I usually put a little organic honey on it and have some OJ with it.
  8. Honestly, I think everyone has their own experiences. I've been taking colostrum for about 2 months so far and although i still have some acne, it is 100x better then it was. I think each person reacts different and it also depends on what other foods are being eaten, exersize etc etc etc
  9. My results are interesting.... Been on symbiotics colostrum plus for about 30 days, 2 pills about 30 mins before breakfast every day. I've noticed that I haven't stopped having breakouts, but they have DIMISHED greatly. Anything i get is usually gone within a day and then has fully healed within 2. My skin is less oily and has a nice glow to it. I've also noticed that this really does help build lean muscle. I've been doing some light working out and im noticing that im becoming more and more
  10. Just figured i'd say that colostrom has been working for me for a while! It's a great supplement and really seems to have helped out my skin greatly and quite quickly. I am using the symbiotics capsules, 2 a day on an empty stomach.
  11. Honestly, I was just about to post up a topic very similar . Anyway, I find it difficult to avoid all the "bad" stuff (dairy, sugar, processed anything, fried food etc). Recently, I've been taking extreme care to avoid any of those but I'm trying to narrow down the list to see what really triggers my acne. Personally, I've found that sugar and processed foods are my main causes. Usually it's food with high fructose corn syrup and other sugar imposters that really flair up my skin, usually in t
  12. Yup. Same thing with me. My mom had it until she was about my age (20) and I happened to inherit that gene . Kinda stinks, but hey, i think i turned out pretty good.
  13. Try a cold compress to reduce the swelling. Otherwise, leave it alone. picking and playing will only make it worse. Usually, when i have a situation like yours, if i've gotten some material out then get clear liquid i leave it alone. Usually over night it will "reload" and come to a head again in which case i remove the rest of the material.
  14. Was at the derm today for a check-up and asked about the bump near my left eyebrow....Apparently, i have a sebacious cyst hanging around in there. According to my derm, it isn't severe/inflamed and is just kinda there. He said that he could drain it or cut it out, but that would require another appointment. Anyway, do you guys have any suggestions on home treatments for this guy? Its not bad and really isn't noticeable unless you go right to the spot and wiggle around you feel the hard spot,
