  1. Started in April 2009. After trying everything. You name it - I tried it.
  2. From the album: Changed forever. Thank you Accutane.

Accutane works so well, it's criminal. (heh, mug shot, get it?)
  3. From the album: Changed forever. Thank you Accutane.

My doctor didn't like that I hadn't cleared up yet. (He's a perfectionist - yay!!) So he put me on Cephalexin at the same time. Redness is going away. I won't lie - it's made me gain a bit of weight. Well, any excuse is as good as any to get back in a regular exercise program! I decided to do a different way of documenting. Thank you Mac Photobooth.
  4. From the album: Changed forever. Thank you Accutane.

Some redness started. A lot of it is like a perpetual sunburn. The sun blistering is horrible - I didn't realize how strong it would be until I had been in the sun for half hour unprotected! It turned into exema or something similar. Took a lot of moisturizers to get that down. But the redness persisted. But notice it got a little worse from Month 1 to Month 2. (Pardon the zanyness of these faces - you can see I didn't let my acne get in the way of having a good time!)
  5. From the album: Changed forever. Thank you Accutane.

So I finally got approved for Accutane. The side effects almost knocked me out at first. I had the kind that only 5% of people get - unexplained abdominal pain, peeling soles and palms, dizziness, etc. This picture is one month into treatment. I wish I had documented better - this is black and white and doesn't show. Not too much redder. Less larger pimples, only the smaller ones remained.
  6. From the album: Changed forever. Thank you Accutane.

My face was always changing. New pustules/cysts all the time, never a constant. I have tried every single prescription that comes to mind, even ProActiv and the others. Nothing worked.
