  1. Hi all, For me, skin picking is just part of a much larger problem -- Body Dismorphic Disorder. The average day for me is awful. From the moment I wake up in the morning, until I go to bed at night I am constantly moving from one mirror to the next examining how awful I look. My main issue has always been with pimples. I have always had problems with whiteheads, blackheads and just plain bright red zits and I will sit in front of the mirror examining every one of them, saying "ok, you're not goi
  2. I know it sucks but you have to be patient, trust me--it's worth the wait! If I could afford it, I would still be on it. I haven't found anything that makes my skin look as good as it did on this--I would give it about 3-4 wks. to notice redness/peeling and possibly a breakout (which won't last long). After about 6-8 wks. you should start to notice a general clearing of the skin that continuously gets better. For me, it took a couple months to get over the redness because I have very sensitive s
  3. NO, Tretinoin Cream takes quite some time for you to start noticing a difference. For me, I applied it once at night and began noticing my face turning red and started to flake after about a week or maybe a week 1/2. You will notice your face will start to get MUCH WORSE at first, expect some breakouts and dry, irritated skin--then within a few months you'll look in the mirror and say WOW!! Your face will look refreshed, clear and simply amazing. The only thing is the dryness/flakiness seems to
  4. I think you should always stick with ONE acne treatment that works for you. Combining benzoyl peroxide with tea tree oil might be a little to harsh on your skin. As for the sunblock your using, I think this is a great choice for your skin type; however, I would recommend only washing your face with a mild cleanser (like Dove soap) and use a gentle moisturizer before the SPF. Personally, I think the tea tree cleanser your using has too many ingredients!! I RECOMMEND HIGHLY using a mild soap and
  5. Hi! I too have suffered from acne scarring--don't you just HATE those purple spots that seem to NEVER go away?? There are many things you can try: 1. 100% EMU OIL--don't let the name scare you, it will not clog your pores or make you break out! Look it up and see all the benefits!! I have used it for only 3 days now and marks that have been there for months are starting to disappear. 2. Another thing I found helpful is Lime juice (not to mention the citric acid prevents new breakouts)--just slic
  6. Yes, I have tried the do-nothing method, which for me means washing with Dove soap and leaving my skin alone. I have mentioned on this site before how well this seems to work for me. I truly believe acne is primarily genetic, which means you can try thousands of products on your skin and your still gonna get it! Sure, I think some products HELP, but even when I find something that seems to lessen my acne--I STILL GET IT! Essentially, for my oily, acne prone skin I think what it seems to like bes
