  1. Hi everyone, last week my derm prescribed me 100mg minocycline along with retin a micro and acanya as a spot treatment. I asked her if whether I should quit using my Clinique Acne Solutions products. The toner and face wash both contain salilycilc acid. The moisturizer has benzoyl peroxide in it, but i stopped using that. She said that I can keep using the acne solutions products. Lately, my skin has been getting these red dry, flaky patches. Could if be from using both retin a micro and the
  2. Hey everyone, I have always wondered this. (I am on Dan's Regimen) When I get out of the shower, why do I have to wait ten minutes before I apply my moisturizer? It seems like a lot of websites or products tell you to apply moisturizer when the skin is still damp... And Dan says to wait until the skin is fully dry... Just one example: http://www.skincarephysicians.com/eczemanet/bathing.html Thanks, any thoughts would be appreciated!(:
  3. Hey, I have been on the regimen for about 9 months, and lately, things haven't been so great... Ever since starting the regimen, my skin has been unusually dry, but not flakey. Since February, I have been getting these weird spots on the sides of my face and on my forehead. They are about the size of a dime, red, VERY dry and sometimes flakey, and at night they are sometimes itchy. And the thing is, they won't go away!!?!? My mom thinks that maybe it could be because of the cold weather (I li
  4. Hello! I used to have the same problem. Then I started using more jojoba oil...about 6-8 drops during the day and 12 drops at night in my moisterizer. It's really helped me! You're probably thinking "doesn't she have such a shiny face then??"...lol. My face has always been soooo oily, and this hasn't really changed the oilyness of my face at all. Just thought I'd let ya know how I combatted my stupid flakes.. So maybe using more jojoba oil could possibly help you with flakes..? Good Luck(:
  5. Unfortunately, when I go down to one application, pimples come through... :( Do you do your 1 application in the morning or night? Well I know you aren't asking me, but I only do mine at night. If I do it during the day, it comes off due to rain/snow/sweating...So I personally would recommend doing it at night.
  6. OMG!! I seriously thought I was the only one!!!! :surprised: I hate when water gets on my face. And lucky me, it actually started snowing really hard today when I was walking home...so I freaked out....

  9. Me too, mattio! Ugh it's so annoying! Especially when all my other friends have perfectly flawless skin and take close up pics of themseles like 24/7. I wish I could do that.
  10. Does it help with flaking then if it causes you drying? That doesn't seem right? I was going to use it 2-3 times a week at night to see what happens. Did it break you out at all when you added it to your regimen? Yes, it helps with flaking. But my face is still dry, but barely any flakes really. It's kind of hard to explain... and no it didn't break me out.
  11. Oh, I use that lotion! And I really like it! It's just that it dries me out a little so I'm now going to use it only 2-3 times a week in place of my moisterizer. It's also lasting me a reallllyyyy long time, so thats definitely good.
  12. Hey, your skin looks great! Just curious, but does your diet have an effect on your acne?
