Hello, I'v been almost 2 years on retin-a. I have to say that it works but I am not 100% clear. In december, I took 3 weeks off retin-a and i began to get so many pimples. All of the pimples turned into white heads and i had to pop them cause I didnt have the retin-a on me. This showed me that retin-a was actually working to prevent pimples. When i started using retin-a again, I saw immediate improvements. I didnt have IB just clearing but after a while, it felt like the retin-a was not worki

I have been on retin a (1 year) and have been prescribed also bp of 20%. I use the bp on my body/ back and i see very good results, back is almost cleared and chest has cleared up!. My face on the other hand was left with retin a and it has not cleared up but the pimples have reduced in occurance. Les breakouts but the retin a has made my skin look uneven and not smooth because of scaring. I decided to apply the BP on my face and i realized initially that a stinging pain came . I found out it w

ok so im still breaking out and im on retin a 0.1% cream for almost a year i feel like just stop using this retin a because it makes my skin look really bad (oily). not only that but it has cause my skin to scar on almost all pimples i got... i friken hate this shit... so pissed off because these scars werent worth it... I could have gotten less scars with accutane if anything and be clear by now. but that gets me thinking... if retin a didnt work could accutane work?

I have been like 11 or 12 months on this shit and i am not 100% clear. Yesturday i had a small pimple i applied bp on it in the day and in night i applied my retin a and today the small pimple got inflamed and turned to white head and i popped it and aplied more bp still it is red and still inflamed. to think positivly, this is like the first break out of this month so i guess it is not bad but now my face looks like it is as bad as it was on day 1. my left cheek is fairly clear (i dont think

hey I have been 10 months on retin-a and I feel like giving up. Doctor has up dosed my prescription to 0.1% cream i believe and still have acne. My skin has improved: My skin texture greatly improved. Skin lighter/brighter. Less frequent breakouts. Pimples are not as large. My skin has also gotten worse: dark marks are fading but more spread out minor scaring to deep thin icepicks. I do see that retin-a has improved my skin but this is 10 months and I am still breaking out. Am I supposed

Hey, so I was wondering if somone who knows or has experience in using retin a could help out. With retin a you usually get peeling right? Peeling is basicly like you skin is dried out and it flakes off and u can see the white dryness flakes on our skin right? If thats right, then peeling was what I was getting. When I first started retin-a it was the lowest percentage in gel form. I do not think I noticed any peeling at all. After month 7 I ran out of the tube so I got an increase in dosage

Retin-A Gel - Everything is A-ok

Um...you use it in the morning? I think the reason why it says only to apply at night is because of sunexposure. I hope you are using enough suncreen lol. But ya, you can still expect some breakouts, but you will notice improvment at month 3 I think. Thats what everyone says. I didnt really see improvment then, like you I saw some good improvment at second week. -
damm. I read it all but yea that sucks big time. I would still give retin a some time...it is prolly clearing all the junk that is under the skin. I also went on retin a but i went on it a long time ago. Like I guess I was the unlucky one or somthing because I am on month 8 I think (starting to loose count) and I do not have clear skin 100%. I didn't go to a derm, just went to my gp doctor and he prescrebed me retin a. He told me same thing yours told you...that you might experience some ne

I have been on retin a and ever since that i feel that exact thing. Im on month 8 and im still not even clear. pimples still come. And just like you, i feel every pimple leaves a scar. Every zit... Now I am not getting much zits just pimple bumps but my face is scared because of the zits i got. Every now and then i get a zit or the pimple evolvs to one and no matter what it leavs a scar. I think it could be because of retin a. I heard that it 'thins' your skin so maybe thats why it is more eas

What should I do? I recently got an increase to 0.1% retin-a cream from 0.01% gel. Anyways, i was expecting atleast some sort of benifit but I am not seeing much improvments. Instead I am seeing worse skin than before. This is month 8 ... I still have blemishes comming out. Like does that mean its not working and that I wont be clear? I have been on 0.1% for about a month now maybe a little more. should I give it 2 more months to see if i see improvments? My doctor also gave me benzol perox
