  1. Gday! I have just been recommended for another round of accutane by my dermatologist. I will 10mg for first 2 weeks then up to 20mg from then on, this apparently combats the initial breakout and minimises side effects. Has anyone else had a similar course? Please share if you did. Thanks heaps!

  3. I was using a warm compress on my cyst thats on my neck, and it started oozing pus. Me being the idiot that I am decided to try get rid of it by squeezing everything out, now I'm left with a hole in the middle of the cyst but its still there and it looks dark red and angry. What can I do to fix this asap? Please help!
  4. Blah wrote you a reply but accidently deleted it Short version is that I'm pretty much the same and still on 20mg and 90% clear If your dosage isnt too high you should be able to get a way with a decent summer as long as you're sunsmart (hat, apply superstrength sunscreen at regular intervals and dont be in the sun for the sake of it) and not ginger-prone to getting sunburnt. Good luck! Thanks, Lucky for me I have olive skin and tan really well normally. Except I love playing golf in summ
  5. You could try chemical peels. I am in the same boat it sucks so much (i'm 23) and none of my friends or even my younger brothers have acne. For me eating healthy seems to help alot
  6. Try heading to an esthetician who will extract them for you
  7. Gday, A little background about me. I had pretty bad acne from about 2005-2011 when I was 14-20 and decided to go on accutane which cleared me up fully. I didn't get any bad breakouts except for the occasional one here and there until a few months ago, and my skin now looks almost as bad as when I started accutane. I have bad acne scars and every pimple I get now seems to leave a pitted scar no matter what I do. I've recently started a cocktail of vitamins to try and get rid of my
  8. What strength were these peels? I know lactic is quite mild, but if you aren't used to peels, even three very mild ones can be negatively overstimulating and cause a breakout. If you're allergic to the vitamin, the gelatin of the shell, or a filler in the vitamin (research the integrity of the composition in the brands you're taking,) the breakout would have started 24-48 hours after taking it/them but none of those vitamins cause a flush. So to answer your question, I can say with almost
  9. It looks very mild to me man, go out and enjoy yourself. I know its so hard it makes me self concious aswell, but whenever I hang out with my mates it makes me feel so much better! You could try some salicylic or glycolic acid I reckon it would definitely help
  10. In my experience my skin tolerated absolutely anything post accutane, however its seem to worn off now so just be careful
  11. Definitely go for Accutane if you ask me, it helped my skin 100% and I didn't get many bad side effects besides dryness (I too have mental disorders running in my family)
  12. I used QV Face SPF 30+ Moisturiser when I was on accutane and for years after and its never broken me out!
