  1. Hello Everyone! I am looking for a natural daily/nightly routine (free of parabens, and other nasty unnatural stuff) for HEALTHY skin. My situation: I got over HORRIBLE Cystic acne with accutane, it came back (big surprise) so I decided to change my diet and no more cystic acne Unfortunately I'm left with the cystic scars (not horrible but still sucks). Now I have oily skin (probably from BP and Retin-a) and itchy eyes (probably from Parabens in CeraVe) My Routine: Mornings I use Neutroge
  2. Hello Everyone, I want to get my chin, lip, and eyebrows threaded (accutane caused light fuzziness-UGH!) But I was wondering how to prevent breakouts before/after threading, and if it does make you break out? Any advice, tips and tricks will be very helpful! Also, any advice on preventing pain? Thanks!
  3. Hello All, I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a non-comedogenic chapstick? I think that it might be what is causing the breakouts around my lips/chin, and if it isn't I want to cancel it out. But I don't where to start looking? I googled it and couldn't find anything. Thanks!
  4. Did your face peel and sting a little when you put lotion on? Also, what face lotion do you recommend to prevent peeling?
  5. Hi Everyone, I finished accutane about 3 months ago and started breaking out again. I am currently changing my diet to healthier whole foods, taking out dairy, doing more exercise, taking supplements, etc. I am also doing the regimen, somewhat. In the morning I am washing with cetaphil facewash, using the neutrogena BP 2.5% in the morning, and the cetaphil moisturizer for all skin types. At night I use the neutrogena fresh foaming scrub (very very gently) at night along with retin-a gel .025%.

  7. Hi Bob, This seems like a very reasonable regimen. I've been doing all this research on healthy diets, and they all seem to say very similar things. A lot of what you said about food and supplements were things that I read previously. But I was feeling so overwhelmed over where to start. I have a healthy diet in the sense that the only meats I eat are chicken, turkey and fish. The only dairy I eat is cheese or creams (which I will easily substitute) and I try to eat as many raw and whole foods
  8. Thank you for the great advice S500. What type of acids would you recommend? And what do you think about the apple cider vinegar treatment? I've read that I shouldn't start it for another 6 months since I've just finished accutane.
  9. Hello Everyone, I was unable to find much information on retin-a as a scar treatment only. I just finished my accutane treatment and am left with some scarring. I'm on the Retin-a .04%. My scars are slight rolling scars (I think that is the type) that aren't very deep, but at certain angles they are visible. I started the treatment 4 days ago, so I'm not expecting a difference for a couple more weeks. I just wanted to know if Retin-a worked for you as a scar treatment. Please let me know w
  10. "I have actually had the SAME problem! I googled tailbone pain accutane and I didn't think I would find anything. I haven't asked my derm yet if this is a problem, but I am a little worried because I'm going ATVing next week and I'm worried it might aggravate my tailbone. Let me know if you find anything out about this odd symptom. I'm hoping that it's nothing too serious, but I guess we'll have to find out?" I decided to edit my comment because I finished accutane about 2 weeks ago and the ta
  11. It really made a difference? Thanks for your post, I was starting to feel hopeless, like accutane wasn't working that well with me. Did your derm raise your dosage? Or did you stay on the same amount for the 2 months?
  12. Hi PinkPlayBunny, Thanks for the support! I was wondering if accutane worked for you the second time and why made you have to take it again? Also, I didn't know that Retin-A was a long term med, does your skin get used to it over time? Thanks!
  13. I've actually been taking it in the mornings with muffins, some are low cal, so I'm guessing they're not fatty enough. Thanks for the tip! My skin has been somewhat oily--more of a 'normal' oily skin (I was EXTREMELY oily before, so this is nothing). But my skin is very red and my lips have been very dry, but my face hasn't peeled, I use a little jojoba oil at night (it's noncomedogenic). I'm taking Emergen-c, it's the only multi-vitmain I can take because it doesn't have vitamin A.
