Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Blood clots in my leg (DVT), lungs (PE), and heart (SE). These developed not even after a month of taking it

I am NOT overweight (in fact I exercise regularly), I do NOT smoke, I am NOT over 30 years old...so why did I get blood clots? I got blood clots a year ago (May 2007), had three surgeries, and have pain everyday. It has ruined my life and has caused $100,000s in medical bills. I got the pill for "free" at the medical center...it is so true that NOTHING in life is free!

Pros:

Very effective at preventing pregnancy, predictable SHORT and LIGHT periods, NO CRAMPS, VERY CLEAR SKIN (no pimples at all, although I had good skin before), NO PMS or moodiness issues, and NO WEIGHT GAIN!!!! (<- I think I lost weight on this pi

Cons:

Nausea (very very rarely, if I take it on an empty stomach)

Absolutely great! I tried so many BCPs: Alesse, OrthoTriCyclen (regular and Lo), Loestrin, and Microgestin; and this is the best pill I've ever taken. I would gain weight, or get terrible pimples, but with this pill there is none of that. My periods are 3 days long (used to be 6 days), my skin is amazingly clear and I'm not as moody as I used to be. Also when I get to my third week of pills, my sex drive sky-rockets. It's amazing!!! And no babies so far. It's also quite affordable, if you have insurance.

Pros:

Cheap. But don't let this be your determining factor.

Cons:

Severe side effects. Almost killed me.

Cyclessa almosted killed me. Each time I took this pill, my trachea immediately reacted by closing up my airways. My breathing became labored and heavy. My breaths were short and shallow. My windpipes were closing in and you can hear a squealing sound in my throat. Thank goodness I had benedryl nearby. Within 30 minutes of taking this antihistamine, my trachea opened up again and I was able to breath normally. Had I continued to take this pill night after night, I would have ended up in the ER. So please be heed any reactions to your body, it might be telling you something.

I was on the depo shot for about two years and I'd constantly time to time. Well I decided to get back on the pill. Well the bleeding stopped. Although my breast hurt, and I'm always feeling like vomitting. Other than that I'm not pregnant.
