My Scar Journey 2015 - 2018 (Photos)

Hello!

Its been a while since I posted on here so I wanted to post an update on my scaring. Today I went through my progression photos before starting any treatments, up until today where I have had a CO2 laser, 3 subcisions and several sessions of dermapen.

Its always hard to get lighting the same each time, but I still think I have some good results. Looking at the first photo, on the right side the scars look very "sharp", I remember my plastic surgeon saying the laser would smooth the edges out.

None of the photos have microswelling, as all photos are taken several months after treatments. Let me know what you think :).

Yes, I think they have had a very good improvement, I feel so much comfortable in angled lighting areas, where as before I used to always be really uncomfortable.

I have got another sucbcision in 2 weeks time :).

Good improvement! Please update when you have your next subcision.

Aside from subcision, you're planning to do anything else?

Good job man!! Honestly if I saw you I would probably have no clue you even had acne scars.  I'm sure it's different in different lighting but those results are killer.

IMHO it's hard to say because lighting in the first photo is different and makes the scars more pronounced because they cast shadows. You should try to make another photo using a similar lighting condidions, it would be easier to evaluate the improvements then.

The lighting is as close as you're gonna get. It's not perfect and that why I prefer taking videos to track my progress.

Looks like a good improvement. I think the subcisions helped a lot.

Thanks for all the replies and your honest feedback, good or negative :).

The reason I like to post these things, is because most people who have good results, never come back on here, only people who are looking for more help.. which makes you all think negative about treatments. But yeah, I have noticed a lot of improvement, I should note that I use the derminator at home, and retain a 1% strengh daily.

I will try to take some photos of different lighting, and post them back on here when I get some time.

Great point Fortune. Many people would get satisfactory results and choose not to come back here, because they are too busy living and enjoying their life. With treatments such as lasers and subcision, they can offer improvement, but these devices are highly operator dependent. The problem with many people on here is they have had incorrect treatments not tailored to their scar type and are done by poorly trained dermatologist who don't specialise in scar treatment.

Well done on your fantastic results and thanks for the update.

Noicee. Congrats! When i see results like this i feel SO happy for the person and jealous as heck at the same time lol. I hope someday i can achieve these results. My next experiment to cure my acne is the paleo diet. Thanks for sharing with us, like  scarRight mentioned, people who havent received the right results always come back, and those who are satisfied go on and live their lives. Glad you updated us!
