Recommendations For Makeup That's All Natural?

3 posts in this topic

Okay I know this has probably been done before but I couldn't find anything specific to what I wanted it goes.

I have pretty bad acne, cysts and white heads, some deforming looking stuff even popped up before I got on medicine. Anyway, I don't wear makeup at all, not to parties, going out, weddings or anything, haven't for several years now. I get bad cyst acne when I wear makeup so I pretty much avoid it now like it's the plague, and to complicate things further I'm allergic to everything. Like my eyes get swollen if I wear any type of drug store concealers or eyeliners.

Last year I bought some of The Body Shop's makeup, hoping it would work and got a huge one on my nose that has never really gone away completely, but on the bright side...I didn't get swollen.

I'm not too experienced in makeup, but I have a big event coming up and I would really like to wear some makeup, without(hopefully) breaking out.

I was just wondering if anybody had ideas for concealers and whatnot? I heard I should be using some kind of remover to get rid of it? If anybody knows anything that's all natural without fragrances or any kind of...well, unnatural ingredients, please let me know!

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

I say a mineral powder makeup without any irritants. There are many and there;s another current discussion on the many available brands.

And for removal, quality safflower oil which is over 80% linoleic acid which is a major component in normal sebum and found to be deficient in people (& other mammals) prone to skin problems. I have a long thread on it in in the Nutrition board filled with research & the benefits. I use Napa Valley from Whole Foods.

Status: Clear after 30 years. Wow, I guess it's been 6 years, now.

[ Story: Severe Acne since I was 10. 10+ years of Dermatologists, Antibiotics, topicals and ACCUTANE did nothing. Discovered oranges triggered the worst of my cystic acne = about 70% improvement. Tried some nutrient supplements like B-complex with zinc and C, saw palmetto and a BHA like the aspirin mask = more improvement, a lot less oily. Then, Diet changes = Clear.

Regimen: Anti-inflammatory, nutrient dense, blood sugar stabilizing diet and supplements (for hormones, inflammation, aging, health). No soap or other cleanser except for hand washing! Water only or Oil cleanse. Aloe Vera mixed with niacinimide and a high linoleic acid oil for moisturizer and reduce pigmentation.

Diet effects acne in so many ways: hormone balance, inflammation, Insulin levels, digestion, allergies and intolerances, liver function, adrenal function, SHBG levels, sebum quality, cell function and turnover, nutrient deficiencies, body fat, etc. Basic advice: Eat, sleep, supplement and exercise like you are a diabetic. And eat real food!

For more information, see my Good Things for Acne thread *Moderator edit - Please refer to the board rules (see “Advertising/soliciting”, “Linking” and “Signatures”)*

When you eat stuff, Stuff Happens!

Well as per my concern, using the products for a body and face is fair enough but the harmful products cause several side effects. Therefore, for avoiding the harmful products mainly for face, a person should use the natural products. While people use several cosmetic products for the face, such as the face cream, powder, compact, and other make-up products for looking attractive but while using the very same products sometimes a person can get opposite or worst effects due to harmful ingredients.

Several products are obtainable in the market for face and body, but a person must avail the products as per the skin tone otherwise will face problems immensely. It is recommended that before applying a product on face, a person should ascertain the product on the hand for getting the outcomes that product is suitable or not. If a person faces some sort of itching or allergy then a person should decline the product. It is always better to go with natural products for make up and skin care as it doesn’t include any sort of side effects. For more info or to have the best products must visit-
