5-Htp Mood And Relaxation

I take 5-HTP at night before bed, since it converts to serotonin, a neurotransmitter in the brain, and then eventually to melatonin, which regulates sleep. Since its effects all happen in the brain, it is very unlikely that it will cause you to break out. It does not cause me to break out. It may even help acne since it will ease nervous tension and help you relax. It is important to note, though, that supplementing a precursor to serotonin can negatively impact your dopamine levels, so it's very important to find out what you might be low in.
