Acne Treatment Diet

I have suffered from acne on my face, chest and back for 10 years and have tried various antibiotics and topical solutions with little to no success. It might also be worth noting that I have also suffered from IBS for the past 4 years.

Over a period of around 6 months I experimented with different foods and discovered that my skin is almost completely clear when my diet consists only of:

  • chicken

  • turkey

  • tuna

  • salmon

  • mackerel

  • vegetables

  • fruit (not juice)

  • nuts (all except peanuts)

  • seeds

  • eggs

  • oats

  • plain natural/greek yoghurt

  • wholegrain rice

  • green tea

  • peppermint tea

  • ginger

  • garlic

  • mixed herbs

  • 1 probiotic multivitamin daily

  • 2 saw palmetto capsules daily

I try to buy fresh and avoid processed foods where possible. I also found that, whilst on this diet, my IBS improves dramatically.

I hope this diet helps someone else as much as it has helped me.
