Magnesium Sulphate/Sulfate paste

1 post in this topic

Years ago I read an "insider beauty tip" in a magazine saying that magnesium sulphate paste could be used to draw the pus out of a spot. I think it comes in a little tub and is applied with a cotton bud. I know it's used for dehydrating/drawing boils, abcesses and carbuncles.

Has anyone tried using this on cysts or spots?

I know you shouldn't mess with them but mine are ususally much less painful and the swelling goes down after they've popped and wondered if this could hurry that up.

I've seen in for sale in Weldrick's Pharmacy (UK) but nowhere else.

If nobody's tried in then maybe I'll buy some and give it a go - it's only a couple of quid. Unless I'm told it's a very bad idea, that is!

Thanks in adcance.

Mornings: Wash with aqueous cream, pat dry, apply aqueous cream.

Evenings: Same as mornings.

Then Differin (Adapalene) 0.1% followed by Duac (1% clindamycin & 5% Benzoyl Peroxide)

Less picking and more smiling!
