  1. Hey guys! I have a question. I've had acne since I was about 11/12, (I am now 21 and it's gotten better but not completely). I have naturally very dry skin (I am not using any acne medication causing this) and I react to just about everything in makeup. I'm looking for a oil-free AND silicone-free foundation, because these have been breaking me out every time. I've had no luck for now, especially since my skin is dry and most makeup ends up settling into my dry spots. Does anyone know of a good foundation for dry acne prone skin which hasn't broken them out?
  2. Can anyone suggest a non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic liquid foundation that I may try? I'm looking for advice from others who have nodulocystic acne and have found useful products to help cover it. I typically shy away from medicated foundation, since I wear topical medication during the day (benzoyl peroxide 2.5% gel) and at night (Differin 0.1%). I may switch back to applying a sulfur-based drying lotion beneath my makeup, since BP isn't the best idea to have on the face if spending time outdoors. I'll be taking a vacation this spring and wanting to (at least somewhat) cover my cystic acne, PIH and rolling scars during the trip. So far, Google searches on "non-comedogenic liquid foundation" and "least comedogenic foundation" only reveal vapid articles supported by "reliable" sources, such as fashion magazines. (It's obvious that most of them offer product placement, rather than unbiased reviews.) I know that I break out worse from Revlon's Colorstay oil-free foundation, which I had to give up. I more recently have been using Almay's Truly Lasting Color. (My main complaint is that it doesn't offer enough shades, so I'm blending two of them and still not getting a great skin-tone match.)
  3. Hi guys So I've been struggling with mild to moderate acne for years, but now it is pretty much under control and I rarely get any spots. However, the skin still looks disgusting, because of huge pores, oily skin and red marks left behind by breakouts, and I would like to cover those up. So I'm looking for a liquid foundation that offers medium coverage, stays matte all day and doesn't cost more than 20. Of course it should not break me out again and worsen my acne. Can anyone recommend me a good foundation? I have already tried a few organic ones (but all of them broke me out) and the La Roche Posay Toleriane Teint Make-Up Fluid (it is amazing, but I just can't find the right shade)...please help, there are so many foundations, i just don't know which one to choose. Please tell me with which one you have had good experiences. Thank you very much in advance, I really appreciate your help Marie
  4. Help Me Find A High-End Foundation!

I am about to start the regimen and need help choosing a high end foundation. Drug store foundations often lead to bad break outs for me. I have narrowed it down to several options that are specified for sensitive skin. I have read that you should avoid foundations including a high amount of alcohol, do you agree? Some of foundations include dior skin nude and lancome tient miracle. Even though I'd like to try these foundations I've found some alternatives such as tarte amazonian clay, hourglass immaculate liquid to powder, smashbox halo and makeup forever HD. I'd like to hear any opinions on foundations mentioned as well as other recommendations. Thanks!
