This new topic is going to be about makeup...

I am somewhat of a girly girl. So naturally, I obsess with having good hair, makeup, and clothes. I cannot help it, I am just really into all that kind of stuff...it's just what I like.

I am pretty sure that wearing makeup is one of the reasons I have bad skin. I love it, and I used to wear it almost every single day. However, I almost never go a day without washing my face.

I have not really worn any makeup lately, due to trying to get my skin back on track. I have avoided even going out with my friends because I don't want to put on makeup.

Once, OR IF, I do get my skin looking a lot better, I am still going to avoid putting on makeup at all costs. Unless I am going out or going somewhere nice.

I just want to know what products to purchase that are worth the expensive cost OR are cheap, but also really good for your skin.

I need to know for:

Foundation-

Powder-

Blush-

Concealer-

Primer-

???

Help a girl out!!! :)

I've been doing a lot of research on ingredients in makeup, and pretty much all makeup that claims to be good for you is comedogenic in some form. I haven't encountered a makeup that didn't have any comedogenic ingredients in it. However, there are definitely some makeup brands that are less comedogenic, like Clinique, Almay, and Laura Mercier. It honestly depends on what your skin can handle. I've had success with Laura Mercier and Clinique in the past. Clinique is a lot cheaper, though!

eeeeeeeeeee a make up post! take this!

Foundation - kat von D lock it tattoo (~$34)

Powder - Milani Multitasking power (~$6-7) or Cover FX blotting powder ($25)

Blush - Any MAC blushers ($20), Tarina Tarintino ($25), TheBalm Frat boy ($21). I use to have some from ELF which go for $3 a pop but found some shades that I've been loving too much in the high end spectrum of things but I remember those were really good for being so affordable.

concealer - inglot AMC ($10)

Primer - Makeup Forever HD Microperfecting primer ($34) or Korress quercetin & Oak Age-reversing primer ($33)

again, at the end of the day just use what works for you :D the makeup items I've listed are the ones I currently use and I haven't had a problem with them. hope that helps~

For foundation, I love love chanel's perfection line. It's oil free and it's not ultra heavy. I really like it and have not noticed any breakouts linked to it. It's a bit expensive at around $55 a bottle, but it's worth it I think and it lasts around a year I'm pretty sure. I used to wear Estee Lauder's double wear, which covers everything up really well, but I'm not sure if it was good for my acne-prone skin. Best of luck to you :)

Yay! Thanks everyone! I can't wait to try some of these products. I love how awesome some of the elf products are because they are so cheap!

I am going to the beach in three weeks with my friends and my crush is coming too! My goal is to getting my skin looking presentable without make up by then! We will see....
