trial of a holistic acne treatment

Good evening :D I've had acne since I was 12 and now, having been in college for a year, I'm really sick of it. I'm tired of applying pounds and pounds of makeup between classes and dealing with those little blue oil absorbing sheets. I even bought BareMinerals which is supposed to help with acne if you can stick through it long enough. My problem is that it doesn't cover very much with the little product you're supposed to use because if you use too much, then your face looks very shiny and discolored from the rest of your skin tone.

My types of acne range from small blackheads, to nodules (sometimes) depending on my sleeping habits and care of my facial skin. Most of my acne is in the form of papules or pustules. I rarely get large blackheads and only get nodules if I've been staying up too late, or wearing too much makeup. I tend to breakout more if I don't sleep at night, or sleep late in the evening. My sleeping habits are off, my eating habits vary, depending on what mood I'm in and what I feel like I "deserve" that day. I have very oily skin (I use 3 of those blue oil-absorbing sheets within 3-4 hours of washing my face, putting on my makeup, etc.), and thought it's odd, I do like that. I hope it will keep the wrinkles away when I'm 50.

Today not only marks a change in my acne regiment. It marks a change in my life...

I will start eating better.

I will SLEEP every single night. No more all-nighters!

I will follow my regiment to the T.

I will do 50 bicycle crunches and 50 side crunches every day.

I will run/sprint 3 times a week, with a 15 minute jog/walk warm up, for at least 30 mins. (45 mins total)

I will take 5 pictures of my acne every single day, and save them to my personal folder.

I will be okay if I fall and stumble on any one of these tasks. I will get back up, and do it again.

Reading some of the message boards on this website has introduced me to some cures for acne that I've never even heard of. Excessive amounts of B5; "accutane", a derivate of vitamin A, so potent that it can cause serious damage to a fetus; getting shots (of cortisone) on my face; putting diluted versions of strong, manufactured acids and bases on my face is not something I want to put my skin through. Call it stupid, but I don't want to follow the, basically, PROVEN regiment that's on this site. I'm young and putting harsh chemicals on my face may be beneficial for the time being, but it may or may not be helpful in the long run. I want to cure myself of acne as naturally as possible. I believe that many of the "active ingredients" in a lot of our cleansers, moisturizers, toners, etc.. can be found in nature through foods, or herbs that can be made into cleansers, masks, teas, spot-treatments, etc.

I also believe in total body cleansing; though acne is a genetic disease, I believe that it can "flare up" due to circumstances that we DO have control over, like pollution exposure, irritants we put on our skin, eating healthy foods and having regular bowel movements, and exercising for the purpose of sweating (skin detoxification). I'm trying to really start taking care of my body now to avoid health issues when I'm older. I even want to stop using make up that requires me to pull or stretch my skin. My mom has never really used make up (probably 50 times in the 50 years of her life) and she has the skin of some 25 year olds.

Also, side note, I'll be trying a potato-compress every night to (hopefully) lighten the dark circles under my eyes, due to my belief of having thin skin.

I know that some of the products that I'll be using are nature's own chemicals and for a while, I'll even be using a salicylic acid wash but after about a month, I hope to switch to lemons.
