My battle with Bacne

Seems I got every freaking side effect a person could get, it's pretty disheartening. I think the only things I didn't get was an IB and headaches.

Side Effects:

The usual dry sensitive skin, dry lips, dry eyes, dry hair

Finger tips prune - this one is kind of odd

My skin will scrap, cut, break more easily now than ever before

Nose is peeling constantly despite moisturizing regularly

Bloody nose, with a small sore that followed

I am now noticing my hair is falling out

Swollen Eye Lids that won't unswell (cold compresses, switching soap, not washing didn't help)

Swollen lips, but they do go down after a few hours

I am itching like crazy, it was just my upper body, now it's every where, it feels like an allergic reaction (Benadryl didn't help)

and the worst of them all, I feel like I can't see, everything is so blurry

I'm not sure where to go from here, when is it time to stop?

So the other regimen was not successful, and now I'm on Clavaris. So far it's not too bad, I'm about a week and a half in and so far my side effects have been:

My nose peeled, and I sort of picked at it and left a small scab, but I did a gentle scrub and I've been using Aquaphor/Neosporn on it and it seems to be doing better, it does look slightly sun burned

My lips of course feel chapped - Carmex is the bomb diggity btw

My face definitely feels sun burned, it hurts/stings to put anything on it other than Cetaphil lotion - baby sun block stings like no bodies business!!

I've been moisturizing excessively so I'm not drying, well not yet

This is it for now, I'm sure this is the lighter side of the side effects but I hope they don't get as bad as I've heard if I stay on top of things and hopefully I'll prevent it.

Wish me luck!

2 Weeks in...

So I'm on my second week, and I am definitely seeing some improvements. My face is 100% clear, so is my chest, and shoulders. My complextion is awesome, as for the scars, well I'll get past this hurdle first.

My back is getting clear, it's not 100% just yet, but I am seeing a nice gradual improvement. Not too shabby for only two weeks. I'm still seeing some large cystic type pimples, but they aren't causing much discomfort, or coming to a head at all. It seems like they are drying out before they can really even become a huge monster pimple, so that's good.

Anyhow, I bet a few more weeks and I just might have completely clear skin, I've been dealing with this for 11 years, so it's about damn time!!!

Ok, so I am 1 week in and man am I impatient, haha. I have been using a combination of things that were suggested on this site for people allergic to BP, which I'm one of those lucky people.

I'm using a tea tree oil soultion at night and a Sulfur Soap when I shower as well as 8% Alpha Hydroxy Lotion with Jojoba oil.

I have noticed that the pimples I am getting seem to heal way faster, but I'm still breaking out. Then again it's almost that time of the month, and maybe there is just no stopping that hormone surge.

I do find myself picking alot, and well that's not helping, so I guess I'll have to find a way to stop. Anyhow I'm not as excited as I was, but then again, I'm super impatient...yeah I need to work on that.
