Hello

Here's my not so short story intro:

I had an oily face since teenage years, and decided to seriously get rid of my acne after college.

I used Paula's Choice products for my face regimen. It was twice a day for two months, and included exfoliating every other day. I stopped because I had an allergic reaction that caused my face to be flaky all over, clearing up my red marks etc, but it also took a while before I stopped being sensitive to everything- no sun exposure of more than 30 mins, no facial lotions or sunscreens, no high allergy type foods. I also had to take an oral steroid for a week or so. A few months later I started taking Yasmin and it controlled my breakouts. I did have the whiteheads etc. but it wasn't anywhere to the level that it bothered me.

I stopped taking Yasmin two years ago, but my face didn't break out until now. The difference from before is that my skin is now normal to dry rather than mostly oily.

I just received the following Paula's Choice products and I'm going to start using it.

  • Blemish Fighting Solution
  • Skin Recovery Cleanser
  • Skin Recovery Daily Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 15 & Antioxidants
  • Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask
  • Skin Recovery Moisturizer
  • Skin Recovery Toner

I already had the BHA 1% Lotion and 2% Gel on hand.

Starting tomorrow I'm doing the following face regimen:

MORNING

Cleanser

Moisturizer/Daily with SPF if I'm going out

NIGHT

Cleanser

Toner (every other day when I exfoliate)

Exfoliate (BHA 1% lotion every other day and once a week 2%)

Blemish Fighting Sol. BP (10-15 mins. after Exfoliation)

WEEKLY

Hydrating Treatment Mask

For consistency's sake I'll stop using my Prescriptives Comfort Cleanser and the occasional Immediate Glow Toner.

Photos are in my Adult Female Mild Acne Blog Photos album. (I'd post the link but I don't know how to do it in this system. Let me know if you do!)

I'll be posting an update w/ photos next Saturday.
