And We're On!

Welp, all the glitches were worked out with iPledge. Turns out they still have my old # from 2.5 years ago when I considered starting.

Day 2. Noticed a little dryness, not different from my first few day on spiro. But I'm itchy for some reason. Not sure what that's all about, not dry, but itchy. We'll see how it goes.

So, cut and paste everything from 2.5 years ago, insert sprionolactone, add iPledge glitch (they didn't send my info) and here we are today.

Last time I threw in the towel, but I'm going to stick it out this time. I'm sure the folks at my derm's office have had quite a few women sucking their teeth and rolling their eyes during this process. Tomorrow morning, I'll be the next.

...but I didn't. ;)

A little background...

I'm a 30-something African American female with acne. I've had problem skin since I was 10, so this is nothing new. Life has been fine, but at this point in my life, I really thought acne would not be an issue. Well, it is.

Over the past 15 years I've been on a bunch of stuff (antibiotics, Retin-A, Differin, Tazarac, ProActive) and none of them have worked. I have moderate acne with bad scaring and hyperpigmentation.

My dermatologist suggested skin peels and accutane, however thanks to the genius of the iPledge program it will be another month before I can start (mind you, I've been getting those darn pregnancy tests now for two months but that just doesn't seem good enough for ole iPledge).

I'll update as progress is made....

Acne or not, I still love my face...I would just like my face to love me back. :)
