Night Off

I decided not to put any Tazorac on last night and take a night off. My face does not burn as much this morning. I can't quite seem to stop picking!! I keep feeling hard skin over the red areas around my chin, I just have to peel the skin off. This is horrible. I read about a website on this forum: www.stoppickingonme.com I thought the whole website was about me! I don't seem to pick any where else, just my face area. My husband says I keep looking for things to pick, even if they are not there. Anyway, with this Tazorac stuff, it makes picking irresistible. The peeling skin, flaking off, hard skin..... Are these reddened areas around my chin (I have about 12 of them) little chemical burns? They are not pimples. I can't figure them out, but they are the ones that are crusty and hurt.

Well, I have been on Tazorac Cream (.1%) for one week now. Within the first 3 days, from my nose area to my chin has been peeling and burning. The corners of my lips are cracking and bleeding. I have 8-10 red, crusty and flaky "sores" on my chin. My face is on fire! My forehead, bridge of nose and cheek bones are not peeling and not burning. Just my chin and lip area. They say it's gonna get worse before it gets better, but is this a normal side effect? I wash my face in the morning with a benzoyl peroxide cleanser and then saturate my face in Cetaphil moisturizer that is non-comedogenic, all day long. When I get home, I wash my face with Cetaphil facial cleanser and then add the moisturizer. I wait about 30 minutes, and then add the Tazorac Cream. I use a little dab and spread carefully and evenly. Does anyone know if these "sores" will go away? Why am I not peeling anywhere else? My face hurts sooooo much. I just want to stop, but now I am afraid that these red, flaky, crusty, bloody sores on my chin will leave scars. The only positive thing right now???? My chin area is not burning as badly as it was 3 days ago, but it is still burning really bad.
