My pictures

Sorry guys. I haven't been uploading any pictures because one, my camera is being very mean and two, I've been busy with school work. But once I raise enough money to buy a new camera I'll go and post new pictures!!!! SORRY!

Kimmy_Cup

Since, I have no more skinID because of the little packaging problem, (If you haven't read the previous blog then read it so you can understand what I mean) I have to use temporary similar products from neutrogena. Here it is:

Morning and night

1) Neutrogena Clear pore cleanser/mask -yes, it's both a cleanser and a mask (Benzoyl Peroxide)

2) Neutrogena on the spot acne treatment- (benzoyl peroxide)

3) Bio oil- I'm still using it for my moisturizer and scar remover

* I did not buy a toner because I haven't used the skinID toner for about two weeks and noticed I didn't break out after not using it for a long period so I'm just using these products to help maintain my skin while I wait. Plus I don't want my skin to get used to the new skin routine or else skinID might not work on my face anymore. (My skin is weird like that? >XD) Haha I said skin like 7 times. lol Okay I should shut up now. :)

I HATE HER

Okay so I went to look at my UPS tracking number thing to check when my next skinID was to be delivered and it says it was delivered today on my front door at 1:42 pm . I came home late from school at 3:45 because I was doing club activities. So when I came home nothing was on the front door. I knew I was suppose to get the package around this week so I went upstairs and went on my laptop to check my tracking number and it says it was already delivered. I of course knew exactly what had happened. It was stolen. NO, not by little kids who happened to see it or jackasses that pass by my house. IT was someone at home. I knew exactly who it was too. Okay so let's call this person donkey penis. You remember how I was talking about family problems on my last blog and someone who bullied me? Well, that person is donkey penis. Donkey penis lives with me and has been living with me since my dad and donkey penis's mom got together. (they're not married, thank god) We've been together for 10 years now and just two years ago I found Donkey penis talking dirt about my family. I was of course furioius, but I didn't tell her off. I only told her that she didnt have to worry about me anymore since I was goig to live with my sister in California. But of course my dad didn't allow that and so now I'm stuck living with donkey penis for who knows how long. And well it's not hard to figure out who has messed with my toothbrush, put hair products onto my face washers, etc. You see what I mean, right? Well, I'm guessing my package was taken by donkey penis since donkey penis comes home from school earlier than me. See the connection? Well, now I have to wait another week until I get my package and I have no more skinID I'm completely out. For the past two weeks I've been squeezing the life out the skinID containers. I get like dime sized amounts, but I think today was the last drop I'll ever get. So now I'm stuck with nothing. I have no idea what to do and I'm completely scared of what might happen to my skin. My acne has gone down greatly and if my acne gets worse because of this I'm going to be so pissed. Donkey penis needs to be taught a lesson. I'm sick and tired of Donkey penis disrespecting my stuff when I don't do crap to donkey penis. It's annoying how I have to ignore Donkey penis's childish ways when Donkey Penis is so much older than me. I'm getting tired of hiding in the shadow and doing nothing. I wonder how donkey penis will react if I took donkey penis's stuff and threw it out or sabatoged it or hid it. UGH. I'm so irritated!

Kimmy_Cup

Wow, I cried

I don't cry a lot even though I live in such a painful life. (family problems suck donkey poo) Sometimes I wonder what life would be like if I chose a different path. Then I remember that life happens for a reason and so what ever is occuring now is for the foundation of future needs. Anywhoooooo. On with why I was crying. Okay, so I know I'm a bit touchy with acne and when someone talks about it I feels as if they're talking about me, but I would never have thought I'd break out crying. Luckily it wasn't public, but in my room with my DAD. Okay so my dad came in my room (we barely get to hang out anymore. No scratch that, we never hang out because he's always busy at work, but I can't blame him since money is needed to survive in this world) and I was a bit irritated when I heard(let's call her butt monkey) Butt Monkey talking about my skin AGAIN. See, ever since I got acne at fifth grade she'd always say the cause of it is me and how I should just leave it alone. So I did that, and my skin practically exploded and I hate her for trying to tell me how to help my acne like she knows what she's doing. So I guess my dad noticed my fustration when I walked upstairs and that's when he entered my room. My dad tried to bring a conversation, but because I was being stubborn I tried to ingnore him and continued changing the channel on the TV. My dad finally asked if I was okay and that's when I started to cry. He of course thought I was being bullied (let's call her the spawn of Butt Monkey) by Butt Monkey's devil child. Sadly that wasn't the problem. I continued to cry until my dad had to go to work (typical) and realized how much acne is hurting me mentally. Surprisingly enough, I hate it more than my family problems and if you knew my family problems; boy, you'd think I'm some weird chick whose suppose to be planning her funeral by now. But, I dont know. Acne is acne and hopefully it will go away. >,< That's like the gagillionth time saying that. I guess I'll try not to loose hope. XD

Updates

WOAH When did this happen?

Okay so I've been looking around sites for other reviews on skinID to see if anyone else had some luck with it, but it seems that many are stating SKinID is a scam. I probably agree to that since the ingredients are the same ingredients used on over the counter skin "miracle" worker products, but for some reason it's working great on my skin. Sure I still get pimples here and there, but man. Look at my pictures. You can definitely see some differences. Then again, results may vary. There's also been some speculation that SkinID contains the same products as AcneFree, but with a different bottle. I believe they're both from Neutrogena so it's likely they might have done that. Yet, I have used AcneFree in the past and that didn't work out so well on my skin, but somehow SkinID does. Weird huh? Well, whatever the speculations are I'm still going to purchase SkinID. (well, I'm going to ask my sister to buy it for me. I'm not old enough to buy it.) And as I said on my last blog, hopefully I will continue to see some improvements.

Skin Analysis

Okay so I got one pimple on my nose and it was taking forever to vanish so I popped it and now I regret it. I also have three pimples on my left cheek that seem to be deep into my skin and one of the same pimple on my right cheek, but that one seems to be vanishing. Probably due to school stress and my over consumption of food during the week end. (Thank goodness for fast metabolism or I would be as fat as a cow) Otherwise that, I haven't had any problems.

Week 4 SkinID

Summary

Yup, so I've used SkinID for 1 month now and I'm greatly pleased by its results. Sure my skin doesn't look 100% clean, but it really has done some good. My skin is less bumpy, breakouts are decreasing, and overall my skin feels great. I believe if I continue these products for maybe 2-4 more months my skin will be completely clear. However, my scars will probably take longer only because I have a lot of them. I am still using bio-oil and I recommend it greatly for people who have scars. Overall, I will continue to purchase and use SkinID. I am glad to say I've found the right products suitable my skin, but just because it works for me doesnt mean it may work for you. Like most products, results may vary.

NOTE

Since I'm still going to use SkinID I will continue posting up new pictures every saturday, but I will not update my blog unless I have some urgent news.

SUMMARY

Hello everyone, so I've been using Neutrogena's SkinID for 3 weeks now and I'm surprised to say it's improving my acne. I have received 4 new pimples which I think is a new record because usually when I break out it comes out in dozens. Okay maybe not that much, but it has improved my break outs. My scars are also fading away because of the Bio Oil and for the most part evened my skin tone. I'm just surprised SkinID is still working on my face. Most of the past products I've used worked only for a couple of weeks and would give me a huge break out, but SkinID has continued to improve the appearance of my face and hasn't broken me out yet. My period hasn't come out yet so I'm curious on how my acne will react. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping nothing will go wrong.

How does my skin feel?

My skin feels way better than when I first started using SkinID. It feels smooth, soft, and firm. I remember when I first used the cream cleasner/mask I could feel bumps all over my face as I ran my hands through my cheeks, but now I can't feel a thing. It's a miracle! My scars are also diminishing and my skin overall looks great. I haven't felt this confident since I was in elementary. Besides a couple of persistent pimples my skin feels clear and looks clear.

Face Routine

Morning and Night

1.Cream cleanser/mask #7 (benzoyl peroxide) : I frist wash my face with luke warm water (unless I'm in the shower). Then I softly massage a dime size of the cleanser onto my skin and wash again.

2. Toner #40 (salicylic acid) : After washing my face, I pour a small amount of the toner onto a cotton ball and softly apply it all over my face.

3. Anti-acne treatmen #32 (benzoyl peroxide) : Once the toner is completely dried, I rub a very small amount (about the size of a dime) of the acne treatment onto my affected areas only, which is my cheeks, chin, and jaw line.

4. Bio-Oil : Afterwards, I apply engouh amount of Bio oil (Not so much that it can't sink into your skin) onto my cheeks and softly rub until it has been absorbed.

5. Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream (BODY SHOP) : Finally I finish off my routine with some of my body shop moisturizer and this is applied onto the areas that haven't been touched by the Bio-Oil.

This routine takes about 2-5 minutes.

week 2 SkinID

Sorry for the wait guys. I accidentally deleted this and I couldn't write it because I've been busy.

SUMMARY

Yay, so I've been using SkinID for about two weeks now and surprisingly it's improved the appearance of my skin. I've noticed multiple acne have disappeared, but I still have plenty so I'm not crystal clear yet. Although, I'm getting there. I've also changed my face routine a bit so go ahead and check out my new routine down below. Overall, I've been getting fewer breakouts and my skin is starting to look good.

How does my skin feel?

As I said, I have altered my face routine a bit. I noticed my lotion from body shop wasn't powerful enough for my drying (although it did help), so I added Bio Oil to my routine. Bio Oil can be purchased at Walgreens or WalMart for about $5-$9. Bio oil got rid of all my dry patches and not only that, but it's helping my scars. (Bio oil specializes in scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, aging skin, and dehydrated skin.) I originally had combination skin, but SkinID dried me out and I also have scars from previous acne so my face isn't looking all that well. However, Bio Oil has helped with both those agitating problems. And for the long run, It's like killing two birds with one stone. (People who have oily or combination skin may receive a breakout while using Bio Oil) So now the products that contain benzoyl peroxide (cream cleanser/mask and my anti-acne treatment) doesn't irritate my skin anymore. As for my toner, since I stopped picking my face it hasn't stung at all and it makes my skin feel smooth and fresh. For those who experienced the burning sensation when first using the toner, I suggest not to pick your face and if your not picking your face, try to use it once a day and gradually increase your usage so your face can get use to it. If the buring has gone to the extreme I would stop the usage and consult a doctor. Otherwise that, my skin feels soft, smooth, and ALMOST bumpy free.

week 1 of Skin ID

SUMMARY

Okay so I've been using Skin ID for one week now and I haven't seen much difference. Some of my pimples that use to portrube out of my skin have flattened, but it still looks as hideous as before. I've received some more pimples, but I've aslo noticed some diminishing away. It's only the first week so of course I wasn't expecting much and I'm still waiting for the big OMG-WTF-is-that-on-your-face to happen. Apparently some people who have used Skin ID had this sudden break out like what all the other acne products usually do. You heard the saying, "Your skin gets worse before it gets better." Well that's what skin ID has done for people. Hopefully if my face does go crazy and breaks out, it will get better. Because there has been some records where it completely ruined their skin, but what the heck, what acne product doesn't do that. (So much for a miracle worker)

How does my skin feel?

Okay so as I was expecting, my skin is very dry. Since I am using benzoyl peroxide, I wasn't surprised that would happen. When I first used the benzoyl peroxide cream cleanser/mask (haven't used it as a mask yet) it was okay, but as the days went by my face wash started to dry my skin and so did the benzoyl peroxide anti-acne treatment. But I expected it, since that's waht benzoyl peroxide usually does to my face. To help with my over drying skin I use a seaweed mattifying day cream from the body shop, but as for the salicylic acid toner, let's just say AHHHHHH. When I first used it my skin stung. It was as if a hot frying pan was being pressed against it. It burned so bad, but I think it only did that because I recently tried peeling off my dead skin and popped a couple of pimples which of course was in a very sensitive state so when the toner hit my skin it burned like a cut that has recently been rubbed with alcohol. So to stop that from happening again, I stopped picking my face. (haha that's one way to stop a bad habit)

Face Routine

Morning and Night

1.Cream cleanser/mask #7 (benzoyl peroxide) : I frist wash my face with luke warm water (unless I'm in the shower). Then I softly massage a dime size of the cleanser onto my skin and wash again.

4. Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream (BODY SHOP) : Finally I finish off my routine with some of my body shop moisturizer and this too is only applied onto my affected areas because that's the only place where my skin dries.

This routine takes about 2-5 minutes.

SkinID from neutrogena

SO I received my SkinID kit on Thursday and today is my first day using it.

First of all let me briefly describe SkinID.

SkinID is this new line from neutrogena that uses products mainly of benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. When you enter their site (http://www.skinid.com) you take a 20 question survey that asks about what type of pimples you get, your sex, the location you live (like Nevade or California), if you break out more during your period (obviously this question is asked for girls), how much you sweat, if you break out when your stressed, etc... After taking a test they come up with a face routine that's right for you.

My face routine

For my face I got:

Number 7- Cream cleanser/mask (3.5% benzoyl peroxide)

Number 40- Toner (2% salicylic acid)

Number 32- Anti-acne treatment (2.5% benzoyl peroxide)

I also got a spot treatmean made of 2% salicylic acid and a green travel bag that came as a bonus for my first purchase.

As you can see they're all made of ingredients that any other acne treatment would use, so I'm not that optimistic of this line. But because it's new there hasn't been a lot of reviews on it and that's where I come in.

My face problem

I've had acne since I was in fifth grade and now I'm a sophmore. Since the beginning of when my ance started it has done nothing, but bring down my confidence and self esteem. Currently my skin is mostly made of a few postules(main source of acne on my face), some white/blackheads, and of course plenty of scars (from picking of course, have stopped and hopefully will keep it that way). Most of my acne accumulate around my cheeks, jaw line, and chin. When I first had acne it started only on my forehead, but as time moved on so did the location of my acne. I only have a few, probably only two pimples, that sprout around my forehead, so it's not that bad, but as for my cheeks. Well, let's just say it's not my best features.

Some facts that might be the cause of my bad skin

I have a diet of lots of fish, plenty of rice, meat (mostly beef and chicken), fruits, and vegetables. I'm asian, filipino to be exact, so rice is a must in my diet. My sugar level isn't high, but although I do love sweets I learn how to handle not to over consume junk food.

I live in Las Vegas and as some people know, IT'S HOT. Well, currently it's winter so it's of course cold. As you can see we have extreme highs and lows, but it's not humid so I don't have to worry about sweating throughout the whole year.

My sister, my dad, and my brother all had acne, but there's weren't as severe as mine. So I guess genes play a role in my acne. I'm also skinny (but I eat like a cow) so I don't excercise much, I'm short, and I have long hair (I clip it at night when I sleep, but I rarely clip it when I go to school).

Overall

All in all, I will be posting my results of using SkinID every week on saturday to see if it has any effects. I will also be putting up pictures after every blog to show proof of any improvements or castatrophies. So tune in for next week to see how well SkinID is working on me.

PICTURES

As I said, I will be posting pictures after every blog to show you proof so if you want to see my transformation of using skin ID look in my picture album and you should see them.

BAD NEWS

So it's been a month now and my acne has spread all over my chin area and parts of my cheeks. It has become really bad and I'm quite irritated by it. My skin was doing so well and now it's worse. Probably worse than when I first started using this new face routine. I have stopped, of course, and am now just using my foaming face wash, a toner from neutrogena, and lotion. That's about it. Ever since I used benzoyl peroxide my chin area got extremely dry and then I noticed I started getting acne. I decided to keep up the routine, thinking it will go away, but it didn't and now since I stopped my acne is way too much for my liking. My sister recently ordered the SkinID from neutrogena and hopefully it will work.

Kimmy_Cup

So it's been about one week since I started steaming my face and using neutrogena-on-the-spot-treatment and my acne has greatly improved. The little bumps that use to portrube my skin are now gone. I barely have any acne and my skin just looks great. My breakouts has also decreased. Now all I have to worry about is my scars. It's slowly diminishing, but I still have plenty scattered onto my skin. Otherwise that my skin has made some great improvements. and hopefully these improvements continue.

Kimmy_Cup

Acne is improving

Well, I started steaming my face and it's been working really well. All the little bumps are diminishing and all I have left is small scars from my previous acne. I'm also starting the benzoyl peroxide routine. I use tea tree oil foaming face wash to cleanse my face after I steam, then I dab some neutrogena-on-the-spot gently onto any acne, and finally I use johnson's baby lotion wich I mix with tea tree oil night cream to help get rid of those nasty scars. I've been seing great improvements and hopefully it will stay like that.

Help with acne

Hello, my name is kim and I've had acne since the start of my fifth grade year. As I got older, now in second year of high school, my acne has shown no improvements. I've used everything from clearasil, neutrogena, dove, cetaphil, murad, proactiv, etc. It just hasn't done any good to my face and has just made it worse. I'm currently using tea tree oil products from body shop and the actual tea tree oil and at first it worked, but just like all the products I've used, my acne came back. I don't think it was because the product wasn't good, it just happened when I started using the tea tree oil toner. I used it ONCE and the next day my face went beserk. It broke out completely. The toner obviously made me break out, so I quickly returned it. Only problem. Even though I used it once, ever since that one time my skin just seemed to have out grown the tea tree oil products I was using. IT WASN'T WORKING ANYMORE! I now have little bumps all over my face and I have no idea how to get rid of it. There tiny and whenever I wash my face and I run my fingers through I could feel a lot of them like there inside my skin. There all over my cheeks and my forehead. I have no idea what to do. My skin has been like this for about a couple months now.

Also, I've had acne for about five years and I was wondering if hormones were the cause of it. I mean, I've used about every topical medication out there, and tried so much outrageous products I'm starting to think it's not the products fault. I want to try birth control pills because I heard that helps. I want to ask my sister about it, but first I thought I should consult and get some answers here. But i'm worried about my age. I'm 15 and that's kinda young, but I'm desparate. I obviously can't go to a dermatolagist since I'm not rich enough. What should I do?

One more thing, I'm planning on steaming my face now. I've heard it's good for your skin. If anyone has any suggestions on that, it would be quite helpful.

OH wait, bio oil. Is bio oil good for your face? I used it for a while, but I stopped because that was during the time when my face broke out from the tea tree oil toner. Should I reuse it? Or is it actually bad for your skin?
