Pros

Clears acne when combined w/ anti-inflammatory (i.e. antibiotic - topical or pill, or products like Aczone)

Cons

Expensive Potent - hence you must be very careful applying (tiny amount for whole face) Doesn't do much for oilyness or blackheads Sun sensitivity Dryness, so moisturize (about 30 mins after applying) at night

Pros

Works for about a year when combined with retinoid like Tazorac. Redness and inflammation eliminated. Between this and Tazorac, skin went from fairly bad to completely clear in about 3 months (I know its a long time, but patience is the key with acne), but stayed completely clear for about a year. Very affordable generic version.

Cons

Stopped working after about a year-year/half. Now I take Aczone. Do NOT try oral antibiotics (minocycline, doxycycline, etc...) It may work for some, but the risks associated with them are too great for many people to handle. For most, the burdon far outweighs the benefit.

Pros

Clears acne quickly (less than 2 weeks) Effective when compared to other antibiotics, whether they are oral or topical.

Cons

SIDE EFFECTS!!!: Blue nails Blue teeth Migraines Stomach discomfort DO NOT TAKE......unless you want to trade acne for blue teeth/nails (temporary- goes away if you stop taking it) and if you wanna feel like crap (headaches, nausea, laziness, etc....)
