Expensive
I bought this with a giftcard otherwise I would have never paid what they sell it for! Anways, I've tried it for a few weeks and it made me break out hard. I didn't see any improvements with scaring either but I might not have tried it for long enough. The packaging is really neat and classy, and the cream itself smells really good (imo). However, I wouldn't recommend this cream anyways because of its price ($60 and plus) for such a small amount. There's better for cheaper.

Outstanding, Worked When Nothing Else Did

Pros:

Steady regeneration of acne skin
Reduces blemishes
Very good price

Cons:

Can cause stinging
Scent of chemicals
Can make you look a little grey at beginning

I developed a sudden outbreak of acne at age 36. I have not had acne since I was a teenager! I still can not fathom what caused this outbreak, perhaps massive hormonal shift or simply falling asleep with damp hair causing an infection. In any case, it seems like all my blocked pores got infected and my face was a red mess of pus. Doctor gave me topical antibiotic which I took in the first instance. The antibiotic helped to halt the acne but did not make my face look or feel any better. It was still pimply, red and sore. After trying various off the shelf products which were formulated for teenage skin and was far too harsh for my skin, I did a lot of onlline reasearch, particularly on Amazon where I found Skin Doctors Gamma Hydroxy Resurfacing Cream. My scientific education and common sense told me: if I can somehow target only the pimples that remain and attack them with some form of "paint stripper" slowly, then it should eventually get to the root of the acne and dissolve it away. A bit like dealing with varrucas. Therefore my routine was to gently wash my face each night with Garnier Pure Active wash, a gentle scrub for the chin area (don't use a scrub if your spots are still tender, use only if they have dried up), followed by Clinique anti-blemish toner, all to prep the skin for onslaught. Now the best bit. Dab on some of Skin Doctors Gamma Hydroxy cream onto the spots only. Leave the blobs on for about 5 mins. You will feel a stinging sensation. Then gently rub the cream in on the spots and around the area. Don't use any other cream on top as you are likely to get more spots due to clogging up your skin with too much stuff. Repeat the process in the morning if you feel you need to or are in the early stages of severe acne breakout. Use a lightweight high factor sunscreen every day if you go out. I noticed difference in 4 - 6 weeks and in total It took 4 months to sort my skin out. It's pretty much back to normal now. I like the fact it cream did its work slowly, it felt like a more natural way to do things. Every now and then I still get the occasional breakout and I revert back to Skin Doctors to sort it out. I only use it in evenings and then use my normal moisturiser in the mornings. Always works for me. However, please combine it with a good overall skincare routine as described. Really hope it works for you too. It won't work for everyone of course, but please have patience and give it a go if nothing else is working for you. Best of luck.

Pros:

It worked
Reduced acne lesions and scars
Unblocked pores
Cleared up skin

Cons:

Acidity stings
Need Patience
Need Diligence
Need to apply on affected areas only

This is effectively a form of medicated paint stripper The acids in the cream work to help your own body to unblog pores, attack the content, clean it out and eventually reduce pores It definitely takes time to work, nature has no short cuts Clean your face every evening, the level of cleaning adjusted according to how sensitive your face is. Don't be too harsh on it. Then dab on GHR cream on the affected areas. Don't put on anything on top! Use your normal moisturiser on rest of face. Leave to work overnight. Wear light sunscreen next day. Give it at least 2 months
