Photo Information for Initial breakout- month 1-2

Recommended Comments

I had a few cysts, but Accutane multiplied them and made them deeper during the initial breakout. After I had them injected they flattened by the next day and all that was left was the redness.

It reduced the oil during the first month and by the second month I was breaking out. During the 3rd month I started to clear at a rapid rate to the point of no new breakouts. No more cysts. In my 4th month I had 2 or 3 very small superficial pimples that were totally harmless and went away quickly. I am expecting to remain cyst free.

I seem to be breaking out a little on the 8th day. In still confused about how the accutane works. It ges rid of existing cysts or not? Sorry to sound repetitive.

I don't know how exactly Accutane works neither, but it affects the major causes of acne, which are excessive oil production, inflammation, skin cell turnover and something else which I forgot.

The current cysts and the future ones you will get during the initial breakout will eventually disappear- as you see from my pics I don't have them anymore and I haven't used any skin care products, except for a simple facewash and a moisturizer. The derm won't take you off the meds until your face has been clear for a couple of months, so there's nothing to worry about. You'll be clear.
