Hey, I am not sure how old you are but you look young. These scars can improve and as youre younger you produce collagen at a faster rate than older people with scars. You should see a dermatologist or go to an acne clinic. When i was younger i was so embarasse to go to the acne clinic or any derm because i thought i looked so hideous and just couldnt bare anyone looking at my skin so closely. Well i payed the price because i got more scars that could have been treated if i went to a dermatologist. I started going to Dr.Gellars acne clinic and i got some good advice and acne medication. I was prescribe Tazorac .05 (a vitamin A product) At first my acne got worse as everything came to the surface but then it improved. It didnt get rid of my deeper scars but my superficial scars the tazorac helped. Any vitamin Aacid causes peeling, exfoliates the skin. As your skin sheds your old skin cells new collagen is stimulated so your skin will become smoother. Listen, trust me when i say that with proper acne medication from a dermatologist or acne doctor your skin will improve. The red marks that you have on your face i am pretty sure theyre not permanent. I had red cheeks fo a while for misusing steivamycin an acne gel. I used more thinking it would work better but it just made my skin really red. I thought i would never be able to look in the mirror again but i got help at the acne clinic. When i think back to how bad my skin was as a teenager and how much better it is today i feel hopeful for you. Another thing is please dont pick your skin because will just do more harm than good. I use my vitamin A acid with a cream at night to hepl with the dryness. My doctor told me about Impruv a cream with shea butter that is non comedegenic . I mix a pea size amount of tazorac cream (vitamin A) and some impruv cream together and put it all over my face even the places on my face where i dont have any acne. It has helped with my complexion and the texture of my skin. A lot of people dont like vitamin A because your skin gets really dry but thats why i use it with a good moisturizer at night. I remember when i first started using it many years ago my skin looked terrible at first i was breaking out more and it really made my skin dry but then my skin started to shed and due to the exfoliation my face started looking so much better. When you get your acne under control there are many acne scar treatments available....there is hope. So please stop picking your skin and please go to see a professional such as a dermatologist or acne clinic doctor. On another note you're a very pretty girl. You've been blessed with such nice features.....i hope you realize this. Remember youre not alone there are millions who suffer from acne and acne scars.....im one of them. I know with me my faith in god has given me hope and strength. Also when my acne was at its worst it was praying that gave me strength and kept me from feeling alone. This is just my experience.......i hope ive helped . Take care and good luck.

my acne goes from mild to severe, it all mostly depends on my stress levels and diet. this picture was taken during a VERY rough week, which made me pick, and that only made things like a millions times worse. things have cleared up significantly since then, i really need to take some updated pictures soon. and sadly i don't have insurance to go see a dermatologist, even if i did my mom won't let me go on accutane, she thinks that the side effects and possible health problems aren't worth it. i know i really really need to stop picking, but its a battle i've been fighting for close to 5 years. i've made some progress, but its a tough habit to kick /: thanks for the compliment, and knowing you took the time to share your story did help, it means a lot that people have been through the same thing and are willing to try to help me.

Hey this doesn't really look like normal acne to me. It looks like something has been irritating your skin for quite some time now and you should defly get it checked out if you haven't yet. I was wondering why I was getting body acne randomly one time and I found out the laundry detergent was the culprit. It didn't subside until I switched. Maybe Something you're putting on your face has been irritating it. I would recommend maybe taking a break from external products for a couple weeks and try to come up with an internal regimen. I took accutane and I feel that pills are much better than burning your face with chemicals.

You should really try accutane im a 17 year old male and i started it in july and it worked wonders on my cystic acne that looked very much the way you have it now. after 2 months or so i started to feel no pain in my face or back and now i currently have really bad scars but from doctors i have talked they have said there are possible procdures so dont be discoured there is always hope. and just a not dont put anything on your skin except oil free lotion such as cetaphil. your pores can get blocked from things like makeup.

I'd agree with the other posters, you'd definitely be an Accutane candidate...

As soon as you're able, get a job with medical benefits and go to a dermatologist! I kind of pisses me off when parents don't treat their children's acne as if it's a serious problem-- because it is...

Just want to let u know you truly are a beautiful girl with or without the acne! Rain deer eyes(perhaps it only makes sense in swedish - it's a compliment anyway!) Take care
