Hello Wildrice,

Your scarring is exactly what mine looks like. I was wondering what gel you are using. And by the way your skin looks great by day 19!

i'd like to know what you were using too, your skin looks great!

It's been a combination of things:

- Vitamin D3: I think I was very, very deficient. I do believe this was the cause of my cystic acne.

- Refined sugar: My skin gets fussy when I eat too much sugar. I stay away from it as much as possible.

- Paula's Choice 2% BHA liquid: This is a must-have for me. If I stop using it I start having problems again.

- Cerave products: Love them! My skin is uber sensitive from years of harsh treatment. I think when I was using Retin-A heavily that my skin barrier was ruined. The skin barrier is back now, and is less sensitive than before. I never thought I'd be able to use a moisturizer without breaking out but these work beautifully for me.

Vitamins C and Zinc were probably helpful, though not the magic bullet. For me the magic bullet was Vitamin D3.

I do mix in some other stuff -- free samples mostly. I had some ferulic c and some alpha hydroxy acid masks. All good stuff that doesn't hurt!

Because of my scarring, I'm trying Retin-A again (Around Day 82) but mixing it with the Cerave to see if that works. If that doesn't work I'm going to try copper peptides.

It took many, many years to get here. I'm going to be 40 next year -- about time for this cycle to stop!

Best of luck in finding your magic bullet! :D
