How are you doing with the tea tree oil? I am on week four and in the same boat as you were. Getting worse, and worse, and worse and I wasn't even that bad to start with. How long after quitting did it take for your skin to calm down? I'm going on vacation and as you know, with makeup being a necessity, how the hell am I supposed to swim, get ready in the morning, or even have fun?

Sorry it took so long for me to reply. I didn't even realize I had comments on my pictures.

I felt like the tea tree oil helped me a lot. I used it for several months. I stopped using pure tea tree oil, now I only use Trader Joe's tea tree oil soap, which has a lower percentage of tea tree oil. I use it to take off my makeup. In the morning, I don't use anything but water, because my skin is not oily. Also, I read that our skin doesn't collect that much gunk when we sleep, so I don't feel like I need to wash my face with soap in the morning.

I don't swim, I never have. Not just because of my skin, but because I was never taught how to swim properly, and I have curly hair so it get's really frizzy after my hair dries. Also, once I jumped in the low end of a pool and dislocated my ankle. I just have bad memories overall. :D

I took antibiotics for 2 months, and they helped. But, they aren't for everyone. After I quit them, it took another two months for my skin to calm down more.

Keep using the tea tree oil, but use it sparingly. Good luck!
