It looks to me like to have hyperpimentation and not actual scars. Maybe finacea would work for you. It is prescribed by a doctor.

Hey there :D) Your skin pigmentation is a little different from mine (I have olive skin), but I always tend to scar easily. Seriously, I could get a slight scratch on my arm, and it will leave a dark mark. I don't know if this will help, but here's what I've got:

First, I always wear sunscreen. I don't ever burn without it, but I think the sun isn't good for scarring. It's been my experience that it just makes them darker.

Also, at night and in the morning I put Mederma over the darker spots. Actually I just googled it to be sure I spelled it correctly and it looks like they've got one out now that has SPF in it and a coupon for it which is always nice :D)

Ok, last thing. I use mineral make-up. I had used sheer cover once and it worked REALLY well, but it's also REALLY expensive. Their concealer duo was the best. I can remember wearing their stuff and someone complimenting me on how great my skin was (all the while I had scars--they were just hidden). I think that cover girls "Bare Natural" as a foundation works well. If you put your foundation on, and then put on your concealer it works better. You'll just want to dust over it with powder to set it. Mineral foundation typically has SPF in it too. So if you feel a little weird putting on sunscreen everyday the foundation will help protect your skin from the sun.

Oh, I almost forgot. Another thing that has helped me is taking daily vitamins. I think it helps ensure I've got all the right nutrients to help my skin repair itself faster.

From your pictures, your skin looks really smooth. Just be patient. I know it can be frustrating, but give it time. It will turn around :D)

Hey there. My face looks just like yours. Have you found anything that works. My dermatologist is experimenting with levulan blue light, microdermabrasion, salicyclic acid peels, and vanex peels. I'm not completely satisfied. But I am trusting the doctors. I too have dark skin. What's up?

No luck yet, but I'm still hopeful. I found some promising suggestions on this site though. So maybe one of them will help. I'll keep you updated though.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've been so frustrated by this for so long. I just wish I had joined this site earlier.
