ghost1986x 0 Posted March 30, 2008 Your acne doesnt look that Bad At all. Did you try Retin-a Gel or another prescription Topical before deciding to go on Accutane? Anyways keep us updated as to how your treatment turns out. Also i think 40 mg/day is abit to high to start with. Personally i would start at 10mg/day then up it if necessary (but thats just my opinion) as many people have stated that the side effects are dose related = Lower dosage = less side effects. Anyway good luck. I have an appointment with my dermatologist this coming friday to see if i should go on tane. Anyways good luck. Quote Link to comment

Even though my acne is mild, it's so freakin' persistent. I'm 24 and just tired of dealing with it. I also don't have any side effects right now, except for the dry skin and lips. For the first few days though, it took a bit for my body to get used to the medication, but now it doesn't even feel like I'm on anything. I'm a little over a month into my treatment, and I'm actually on 60 mg/day. On the 15th I'll be going up to 80 mg. I think I'll be fine. Hope the derm visit was good! Quote Link to comment
NJdude2007 1 Posted April 28, 2008 Hey, I'm in the same boat as you in terms of acne and day progress. Judging from your pictures, we have similar acne. Has your oil gone away yet? Cause mine has Quote Link to comment
